We showed up without a reservation in tiny Dayville (town in the John Day National Monument area) and were generously accommodated by the owners of the Fish House Inn. We had a smaller RV and they were full but allowed us to park on a grassy area next to the tent campers. Everyone was respectful and interesting - cross country...

Immaculate spot, great folks running the place, garden like locale. Quiet and clean, very easy to recommend this as an above average spot to spend some time. Showers/bathrooms squeaky clean, extensive manicured lawn..... Very pleasant place to be!

Beautiful grounds, nice big spot for our fifth wheel and a great host. Fruit trees and lush green green grass make this a real gem! Thanks Mike for your great hospitality-we loved our stay at your beautiful park!

I hate to share this wonderful RV campground because it only has 6 large sites. It was like camping in a large park with green grass, trees, tables and full hookups. I had to share but hope they have space when we return, which will be soon😊

Very interesting décor and I loved the milk churn as a bedside table. Everything was very clean and there were lots of towels. I had some difficulty connecting to the wifi/internet though the signal strength was good and when I did get it work it was fast. There was a little kitchenette area which I did not make use of...

Yes, this is the only place to stay in Dayville, Oregon but it's really lovely. The owner, Mike, maintains the beautifully manicured grounds. We didn't have cell phone service in this area so just dropped by on our way through town. We stayed in an upstairs room (with a private bath) in the main house and were the only guests...

Cottage was small but clean and well decorated. Bathroom was clean and everthing worked well. Cottage has microwave and refrigerator and crockery and cutlery and the use of a bbq grill. The grounds are well kept and very pretty. Very convenient to visit John Day fossil beds.

This is a surprisingly well-kept business with clean and well-maintained grounds and facilities. Predominantly an RV park, several rooms are available, some with private baths and some with shared baths. We stayed in the “Blue Lagoon” in the cottage which also contains the “Salmon Suite.” The cottage and the main house were built in 1908 but have been well-maintained and...

We stayed in our RV. This is a cute little town. The RV sites are gravel and situated nicely quite far apart in a beautifully manicured grassy parklike setting with trees. Full hook ups. There is a cafe within walking distance that is said to be very good but alas we pulled in too late. The laundry is very clean....

We spent a very relaxing evening at this RV park in Dayville as we traveled from Joseph Oregon to Sisters. It is a small, but very well maintained park and the host/owner is very friendly. We would certainly stay there again.

“There is only one room with a private bath and two with a shared bath; all are upstairs and have wall air conditioning units.”

“Take one of the bigger ones in the back house. The ones upstairs are a bit small.”

“From what I've seen all of the rooms are unique and it really depends on what suits the individual we liked the cottage theme but another guest I met said the main house was great and the rates are amazing.”

“Any room would be great.”

“All of the upstairs rooms were nice. Field and Stream and Seaside were the quaintest--each had a little alcove with a twin bed in it for the little one. Cattail Cove is fine--just one bed, though.”
