Because I was especially interested in taking photographs, I chose one of the older rooms closest to the ocean, after looking at the website and talking to a live person. The room was pretty basic because of its age, but clean and comfortable, and the setting could not be beat. I was on the ocean side of the road, right...

I really enjoy this place. It is fairly priced in the off season, I don't know about during the tourist season. They are dog friendly, the rooms are comfortable if not fancy. WiFi is strong. I recommend using their website to book because you can pick out the room you want. They offer everything from super economy to cottages over...

We recently stayed at the Sunset Ocean Lodging for a family visit and had one of their suites. The decor was decidedly somewhat rustic, but pleasant. We had a superb view of the ocean from the double sliding doors (with balcony). The room was huge and had a gas fireplace, king bed, microwave, and refrigerator. There is very good free...

When ever we visit Bandon we always stay at the Sunset, and always in the same duplex oceanfront cabin. Four main reasons -- 1 It's dog friendly, 2.It's just above the beach/ocean with a million $$$ view and steps going right down to the beach. Even on rainy days we can enjoy the view from inside. 3.Cabin has a kitchen,...

I had heard about Bandon and the Sunset for many years and finally spent a few days there in July 2016. There are many parts to the Sunset. There is an ocean view motel (where the office is) which is across the street and above the beach. Across the street from that are various types of oceanfront lodging. If you...

O.K. I have to admit that the guest rooms are not the best rooms I have ever seen, they could use an update or two, but the views from the guest rooms and from their lobby are the most beautiful view of the ocean I have seen without paying over $150 a night. The staff members that I met during...

It bugs me when I see wasted potential in a place. This hotel has such great potential to rake in the business, if they did some updates! The location in unbeatable! Almost all the rooms appear to overlook Face rock. The rooms...MEH! Our room was VERY 70's, but nothing a little paint and bedding update and carpet removal, and furniture...

What you stay in and what is represented in the brochure and online are very far from the truth.Lumpy bed worn out bedspread and flat gross pillows, plus just disgusting kitchenette that looked like 1940 shanty town.We turned around and drove 3 hours back home.Could not stay there ,worst hotel we have even made reservations at.Run away from this one!!
