Looking over the other reviews, i just can say that I agree wholeheartedly with them! Very friendly, great pull thru sites, walking trail, laundry (but no bath or restrooms), and an awesome catfish or shrimp dinner is available (we had both). We stayed 3 nights but many RVs just stayed one night while passing thru. Since it is very accessible to I-40, I can understand that but we very much enjoyed our 3 days.
5 stars! Just passing through and we’re treated with kindness and respect, as they do with everyone I suspect. Recommend the dinner. Clean, honest, family run. Fair priced. Many thanks. Jim & Odilia, Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
This is a good park with relatively level, good sized sites, but it gets 5 stars because the owners absolutely wonderful! From the minute you walk in the door to the point where they've guided you into your site they are simply make you happy to be here. Now, top it off with the delightful catfish or shrimp dinners they prepare and bring to your site, and you've got an overnight experience that's hard to beat anywhere at any price! We will definitely make it a regular stop when in the area.
Arrived a little later than business hours with my two dogs. We were all tired from a long drive from Phoenix. The owner met us at the store checked us in and we had a great nights sleep and was able to walk the dogs on a trail through the pasture and by the creek and a farm pond. We were really glad we found a good safe place to stay. Great hospitality....Marty Holman, Phoenix, Arizona
Stayed overnight while driving to east coast to see kids and grandkids while towing our 5th wheel. Stopped at a DOT rest stop and fast found out onboard generator would not start (108 degrees and no AC). Wife found campground online and made quick call as the hour was late and they were scheduled to close in 10 minutes. She said they were very polite on phone and agreed to wait until we arrived. Easy access for our crew cab long bed dually and 35 foot trailer Check in was a breeze and owner drove his gator to lead us to our site which was gravel and not quite level but was perfect for what we needed overnight. This was way better than the DOT rest stop where I likely would have used an amount of propane running the generator overnight that would cost the same as the camp site.
