I stayed at the Super 8 directly North of Frontier City off I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma for the first and only time on March 21-24, 2015. I had a comfortable stay in Room 734 ground floor and never witnessed any problem with insects. Granted it has not fully warmed up to Spring such that the bugs, ants etc will be active. I understand your point about mixed reviews. I had the same confusion but gave it a try and was pleased. I will say that I did NOT have a chance to try breakfast as I went to my sisters house nearby each day. Breakfast at these rates/locations tends to be very basic. I will say it again, I paid about $60 per night with taxes and was pleased. If one desires more (larger room, more amenities, newer, etc) then step up to a Best Western, Holiday Inn/Express or even a Marriott, Hyatt, Wyndham or Hilton property but expect to pay considerably more. BTW, I sm a 59 year old male. Hope this helps.
