The view was beautiful. ..Indeed. no food or bar...we bought beer and put them in the refrigerator with our room number on them...came out later and some of the beers were gone! We found the clerk to be sort of rude and condescending. ..she actually embarrassed my sister. The room was very cool...just don't open your balcony door after dusk!... More

We made a reservation a few weeks in advance because I knew this place was very popular especially in the fall . We double checked on the reservation the night before for Sunday brunch . We arrived on time for our brunch /place was fairly crowded /we checked in and were told to sit anywhere /the problem with this was... More

A beautifully renovated old grain and hydroelectric mill. Nicely furnished but a bit small and not well lit for reading, except in the bed. But there is a large common area and even a library room, both with lots of lights. It was a very chilly fall morning and, surprisingly for an old building, it was very comfortable that morning both... Beautiful place, jacuzzi tub for 2, balcony to the rushing water over the dam, king size bed, great breakfast. Highly recommended! Historical and beautiful, a true must see! Every room has its own theme. There is a historical stairway that guests can sign to let future visors know they were here. Just an awesome atmosphere!

The room was quiet and peaceful. We were right above the water and could sit on the balcony and enjoy the sunset. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of biking in Athens on the path. We enjoyed two wineries from Athens to Stockport and a quiet dinner in the restaurant. We bought wine to enjoy with dinner and... More

We booked a room at this Inn for Friday. Their very good restaurant is open Friday, Saturday evenings and Sunday buffet. Really no place else in the village to eat. This place is off the beaten track for sure. But definitely worth it. Amazing architecture that has been beautifully preserved. The Inn keepers have done everything to welcome guests and... More

I live in Parkersburg, WV which is approximately an hour drive from Stockport. For years, I have seen ads or heard talk about this site. Recently, I vowed to myself to take the plunge and visit it for a Sunday buffet. I couldn't have been more pleased! The buffet choices are plentiful and very good for such an isolated location.... The Inn is a cool place to stay, it has been restored and maintained perfectly. The attention to details the staff provided us was 5 star. The rooms were clean and comfortable although my wife would have rather had a walk in shower than a old fashioned tub. There are two floors and each floor has a sitting area, refrigerator... More

While out driving the area one day we come across this really neat looking hotel/Inn so when we had an opportunity to stay in the area we thought about the mill Inn and lucked into a room. Taking a gamble on it for an overnight get away. The lady on the phone was pleasant which is the same who checked... More

Our waitress was rude and slow. We felt like we were imposing on her time by being there. In our party all of the meat was overdone and overall the food was definitely not worth the drive. The setting is excellent but is wasted on the service and food. Highly overrated.
