I stayed 1 night in this hotel. The facilities are very complete.
They make aniversary decorations in the room as I requested. My room got an upgrade, and they gave bonus cake for Marvott Bonvoy members.
Get dinner and breakfast packages. Buffet dinner, they adopted a good health protocol at the time of this pandemic, a spoon to take dishes 1x use, good job.
A la carte breakfast, we can order the menu as desired.
The swimming pool is very large, safe for children.
Fitness equipment is very complete.
In my opinion, Marriott is one of the very good hotels in the city of Yogyakarta.

Nice place to stay and management committed to local regulation during pandemic. They change the in room service with the QR code. The PIC who deliver food to the room wear hand gloves and masker. The services are warmth and informative. Sanitizer provided. There's alcohol wipes inthe room to clean the phone etc. the PIC housekeeping offer to replace the towel at 18.00pm.

We were there for 3 nights. Things that stood out and we enjoyed. The rooms were spacious with village view. The pool area and the restuarant there are enjoyable in the evening though swimming pool closes way too early at 7pm or maybe 8pm. The food order to serve time is very long. But we were not in a hurry. Bottled water was available on demand. The buffet and order options were plenty at the main restuarant and food is good. Lastly connected to a big shopping mall, makes up for anything you are missing. I would stay here becoz of the vicinity as well. Getting in and out of the hotel was time consuming

This is our first terrible experience with Marriott hotel.
What we knew that Marriot has the highest standard for the guest service and experience, especially in this pandemic situation which all we knew that the Hotel should apply the safety protocol for their guest and employee.
There are some point that catch our attention :
Hotel have no safety protocol during this pandemic period.
No queeing line for the guest in Lobby, the lobby was so crowded at 7 PM because all of the guest was waiting for the room. The guest gather in the Lobby like no physical distancing rules in the Hotel. And none of sign and none of the manager was incharge. We arrived on 7 PM and our room are not avalaible yet (until this time i wrote this feedback) When the staff incharge ( Aji) told us that they lack of staff in the Hotel and the same day reservation are going up so fast , they can not provide the room for guest to check in on time. He give us the option if we want to wait or to cancel the reservation and move to the other hotel. Since he didnt know or could not guarantee when will the room is ready. We are so speechless to hear the answer from the staff. He encourages us to cancel the reservation if we could not wait for the room. Since we were so tired to complain due to long hour drive from Jakarta to Yogyakarta, we let him solve the issue by himself. He offering us the dinner in their 2nd floor restaurant while we he manage to get the room ready as soon as possible. We accept his offering to have the dinner in the restaurant, but the disappointed service from Marriot Yogyakarta are not over yet. We went to the restaurant and saw a mini buffet that serve for the guest ( i did not know if this is the food standard that Marriot offer in Yogyakarta). Because we've been told by the receptionist staff that they did not serve the buffet since this is pandemi period but only ala carte. I thought there were no coordination between the team.

The mini buffet (what i meant was the there is no variety and same as the the other 3 star hotel buffet, the food is left empty without  refill ) and served without follow the standard Hotel safety protocol that Indonesia Government allowed in hotel buffet. The kitchen staff were rude (Chef Winarno), we asked for the fried rice and he said that the menu only for ala carte and he was so busy to prepare for otber guests. He said if you are INSIST, i will give you for free and it will took a long time. The table disifectant also not perform by the staff at Taman Sari untill we asked the staff to do so, but it's like a little spray or it seems the bottle spray also not function well. We are so disappointed for the stay ( eventhough our stay are not started yet with Marriot Yogyakarta). This make us lose our appettite and excitement stay with Marriot. We thought that the Hotel are not ready yet to be opened, No 5 star attitude and no Marriot standar service in this Hotel. To Marriot Indonesia , we did not know what is happening with your standard service and there is no safe at all stay with you these days. I include some of the photos for your reference, hope the management are wise to follow up the issue

We stayed for five nights in room 515 at the Marriott Yogyakarta. The hotel is only 5 years old, and it still seems brand new. We liked the layout of the room: large with a window that extended the entire width of the room with a bench under the window that could be used as a sofa, bed, or low table. Sliding partitions could open or close off the bathroom from the other spaces. The night lights were very functional, as were the USB outlets on each side of the bed. The room seemed luxurious except for the half-sized facial tissue. The staff were very friendly and eager to be helpful. Room cleaners were prompt and kept the room clean. The Marriott has two very good in-house restaurants plus access to the restaurants in Hartono Mall. The hotel is located pretty far in the north of the city, but some Bluebird taxis usually stand by until the late afternoon high demand for taxis, and the doorman can order other transportation. We would have preferred soothing gamelan music rather than the beat of New Age music in the hotel's public spaces. But overall we feel the Marriott Yogyakarta provides an excellent value.

Hotel with good design and fantastic service. Attention to detail in terms of cleaning and maintenance, however, seemed to be very lacking.

Fair amount of dust could be seen here and there as soon as we checked in, the room carpet was poorly aligned (obstructing the sliding bathroom door), the bathroom lacked detailed cleaning (mold was present, water stains here and there, closet lacked scrubbing), etc.

Maybe a case of a bad apple but in terms of cleanliness it certainly did not live up to the Marriott brand.

First time staying there and I’m very impressed with the service from all their staff. Front counter and service staff are polite, warm and friendly. Engineering staff are quick to respond. My room’s hotel card reader had a faulty battery and the staff managed to replace within 15minutes.

Location is about 25 minutes to the Adisucipto Airport.

Hartono mall is directly beside the hotel.

For sightseeing, Malioboro area is about 30 minutes drive from the hotel.

I like the general ambience of the hotel as it is quiet and peaceful.

My impression:

First came to the hotel lobby quite spacious and monochrome style, the staff was very warm welcoming my arrival. Then upon check-in process simply, and friendly (sorry I forgot the name of the lady receptiont), the room was not ready and I decided to look for lunch at the mall next door, i never expected they call me back for confirm my room is ready but they did it.

The rooms are different from the Marriott I have visited, very unique for bathroom and very spacious, but kinda annoyed view (below like a landfill), but no problem i still can see mountain.

Taking time to enjoy the gym facilities that are quite complete and pool, but unfortunately for jacuzi is still not ready, i wish the next visit can be enjoyed.

I was able to have dinner in the Dapur Yogyakarta level G, even though it was quite crowded, all staff was exceptionally deft in service, (PRICE NEVER LIE) perfect !!! and for buffet so amaze but so sad i cant find dimsum, the rest i was fulfilled.

When breakfast in the morning everything also went well, once again I give a thumbs up to the service of Dapur Yogyakarta staff

the last but not least, I may not be a gold or platinum member, but the gsc, Mr. Max, gave me the previlege late check out because my flight schedule was late that afternoon..

Next I will stay here again if I visit Yogya, and hope that the services you provide now never change and if possible can exceed the expectations of the guests themselve.. Thank you Marriott Yogya

The last time we stayed at the Yogyakarta Marriott, we were aware that sound travels easier than usual through the building's walls and doors. Weekend guests can be especially loud. During the first day, we were unfortunate to have noisy neighbors on both sides of our room, and we are very grateful to Ms. Rosalinda who found for us a quiet room that made the rest of our stay very pleasant.

We still consider the Yogykarta Marriott one of the better-managed Marriott hotels, worldwide, and we are impressed by the professionalism and attitude of the well-trained staff. During this visit, the housekeeping staff member, Maulana was especially helpful with a "can-do" attitude. On our last night, the housekeeping team of Angga and Rifiana did an extra special job cleaning our room.

We are grateful for the helpfulness of Arif at breakfast. We appreciated a large selection of foods at the breakfast buffet, and we had a very good dinner at the Yogyakarta Kitchen. We found the fitness center was friendly, clean and convenient. The hotel gave us a box of delicious cookies for being gold members, and there was a generous welcome display of cakes from four regions of Indonesia in the room when we arrived.

The location is very good, next to Pakuwon Mall and on the northern section of the ring road. It is also within walking distance of Gadjah Wong Restaurant, which we recommend. We feel the Yogyakarta Marriott is an excellent value.

The staff at the hotel were warm and welcoming - and extremely helpful. Even though they were busy, everyone from the reception to the wait staff at the restaurant and even house keeping were consistently willing to go to the extra mile to help and serve.

The morning buffet was the best I have ever had, with a wide variety of food - allowing guest to try a range of local food as well as to consume comfortable staples.

The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean - thanks to the mix of carpet and wood floors (I’m highly allergic to dust) and I had no issues with any of my allergies. The team was accommodating and even happily provided additional pillows.

The club lounge comfortable and a great space to work.

Thank you for the amazing service !
