We stayed at the Marriott along with our family visit to the JogjaArt event, Prambanan Jazz and lunch at Pracima Tuin in Mangkunegaran Solo.
Usually when visiting Jogja we stayed at Tentrem, this time we tried staying at this hotel. Marriott Hotel is next to the Pakuwon Mall. So we can buy some necessities, lunch, drinks, and books.
We like this hotel as they represent the luxurious of five stars in Jogja. Like most 5-star hotels, they provide M Club service in the afternoon, serving a variety of delicious sandwiches, bread, tea, coffee, juice and wine. They serve on 6 - 9 pm.
There are choices of breakfast places in two different places on the ground floor and the 2nd floor near the swimming pool, providing a spacious place for hotel guests to do their respective activities according to their needs. Delicious breakfast food with traditional Jogja food such as gudeg, mie godog, wajik, cenil and jamu jamuan.

The hotel is very close to the mall, it would be better if direct access to the mall was limited to hotel guests only. I saw that there was a direct access door to the mall but it was closed.
Everything is okay because it has a 5 star standard. However, there is something that bothers us, namely the large number of ants that come to the table near the sofa and on the drink shelf if we have open food or sweet drinks. My family and I stayed in room 629.

We recently spent four delightful nights at the Marriott Yogyakarta, a place we've grown fond of during our semester abroad in this culturally rich city. The hotel itself is a blend of elegance and comfort, perfectly suited for both leisure and business travelers.
Our room was exceptionally spacious with tastefully chosen interiors and a generously sized bathroom. The only minor drawback was the TV volume which could be a bit more adjustable.
The breakfast at the Marriott is nothing short of spectacular. Priced at around 15 EUR per person, it might seem steep by local standards, but the quality and variety far surpass what one might typically expect in Europe for the same price. The staff’s attentiveness greatly enhances the dining experience. We especially enjoyed the "All You Can Eat" events on Fridays and Saturdays, which are a gastronomic delight not to be missed.
A highlight of our stay was the "Romantic Dinner" where I planned to propose to my girlfriend. For about 90 EUR, we enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal plus appetizers and welcome drinks, featuring superb Dry-Aged Beef. The staff’s attention to detail was evident in the decorations—down to a cactus on our table instead of the usual bouquet, honoring my girlfriend's love for cactus rather than normal flowers.
Arif, our waiter, was particularly observant, ensuring everything was perfect for the special occasion. Additionally, the Guest Relations team, including Okta, Amisha, and Arlita, went above and beyond by decorating our room during our dinner. On the first day, I was assigned to the Connecting Room and asked to change the room due to the noise of the next room that came late at night. We changed it to a quiet and good view room and spent two nights in a nice mood. The suite is all rooms are connected rooms and we stayed for 3 nights until the next room is empty! When you asked for any inconvenience, you were impressed and grateful for trying to solve it somehow.
Also Guest Relation officer Amisha, Bella, Arlita, Fia were very comfortable and feel good during our stay. Especially Amisha is remembered to meet the most.
Thank you very much to the restaurant manager and the chef. You won't forget the special soup and cooking that the chef made. The staff are very friendly.

The last time we stayed at the Yogyakarta Marriott, we were aware that sound travels easier than usual through the building's walls and doors. Weekend guests can be especially loud. During the first day, we were unfortunate to have noisy neighbors on both sides of our room, and we are very grateful to Ms. Rosalinda who found for us a quiet room that made the rest of our stay very pleasant.
We still consider the Yogykarta Marriott one of the better-managed Marriott hotels, worldwide, and we are impressed by the professionalism and attitude of the well-trained staff. During this visit, the housekeeping staff member, Maulana was especially helpful with a "can-do" attitude. On our last night, the housekeeping team of Angga and Rifiana did an extra special job cleaning our room.
We are grateful for the helpfulness of Arif at breakfast. We appreciated a large selection of foods at the breakfast buffet, and we had a very good dinner at the Yogyakarta Kitchen. We found the fitness center was friendly, clean and convenient. The hotel gave us a box of delicious cookies for being gold members, and there was a generous welcome display of cakes from four regions of Indonesia in the room when we arrived.
The location is very good, next to Pakuwon Mall and on the northern section of the ring road. It is also within walking distance of Gadjah Wong Restaurant, which we recommend. We feel the Yogyakarta Marriott is an excellent value.

Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel is located next to Hartono Mall (or Pakuwon Mall) and is about 15-20 minutes from Adisucipto Airport (the old Yogyakarta airport). The location next to the mall, you can walk to it beneath a canopy that shelters you from the rain. So if you need quick shopping or need to go for a meal, it's very convenient.
The one thing that really stands out from the hotel, is the service. I've been to several Marriott hotels and, yes, they have a standard level of service, but here it surely is above standard. The staff ensures that you have a comfortable stay and experience. The check-in and check-out process is seamless, the rooms are nice.
My only comment is on the lounge, i understand that sustainability plays a big part but the food choices certainly can have more variety than your standard fried snacks.

From entering the door to leaving the door, from the attendant at the door, concierge, receptionist, restaurant, housekeeping everything is A+. I don't think so, because i stayed in deluxe room. And have explained by Mr.Ibnu in M Club, that they have president suite with 1 bed in 1 room, room size as same as 5 standard room. Imagine that it's so big.

M club has basic breakfast not many choices. Breakfast at the restaurant has many choices. If you have Marriott elite Platinum or higher status then you can have breakfast at both places for free
