The history associated with this 200 year old Inn is fascinating. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. One down-side is that if you're disabled or if you travel heavy, there is no elevator, only stairs to the second and third floors. If that's not an issue, stay here...where 12 presidents have laid their heads.

This is beautiful peace of history. The room was decorated with antique furniture and still has the modern conveniences. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The morning breakfast was basic but it was good.

Comfortable beds and lots of history. It gives you a little bit of an idea of what things were like back in the day. One caution -- no elevators and no bell hops. We had heavy suitcases and were on the third floor. It was interesting to say the least. That being said, we would certainly stay again.

We booked the DeWitt Clinton room at this historic hotel for two nights, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The room was nice appointed with Shaker antiques and a 4-poster canopy bed, which a slave who had purchased his freedom, carved. He was indeed a gifted artisan. Each room of the hotel is named after someone who stayed there, which included...

Here you get to live in history. Wonderful old hotel with so much history and many stories. The room was great and easy to stay in. We felt like we were back in time with modern touches. Loved the location and being able to walk around town.

It was a great place. Not very friendly for fat people. We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Great exercise. Will visit again. Oh the food is super good. The bar is worth checking out. Great selection

My wife and I stayed in the George W. Bush room for two nights and absolutely loved it. I was impressed how historical they left everything and it was very peaceful and quiet. I also enjoyed that they left the rooms that were not being used open so you could look in and be able to see most of the...

Thankful to be able to dine here with front window seating! The large number of diners added to an excellent dining experience. We received prompt seating, excellent service and beautifully presented and prepared food at a reasonable price. It was a truly enjoyable experience. Our server was very prompt, courteous and attentive. All of the food including the rolls was...

If you are looking for upscale in a historic hotel, this is the place. The hotel was established in 1803 with a number of presidents and historical figures staying as guest in this quaint lovely hotel. It is modernized but still has the feeling of the days gone by. The food was quality but had their standard menu as we...
