Detailed Reviews
We had a fantastic time at the Zeehan Bush Camp!! The staff were very welcoming and saw to our every need. The amenities were really clean and tastefully decorated, the camp kitchen was amazing with a wood fire heater, lots of wood, tv,dvds, kids toys, comfy lounges, books, puzzles and games. The decor was beautifully rustic, with a lot of thought gone in to it.
The glamping tents were so amazing too, comfortable, warm and cozy.
Thank you so much!!

+1
We had such a lovely stay. We were a family group who stayed in two of the glamping tents. They were so warm and cosy with everything you need - comfortable beds, heating, lighting, seating, privacy. The kids loved toasting marshmallows by the fire. The lounge area was great with tea/coffee making facilities. Clean toilets and showers. All in a beautiful setting - gorgeous bush setting. We will be back.

We only stayed at Zeehan Bush Camp because another campsite had “lost” our booking. So lucky for us. The site is well away from passing traffic so really quiet. The highlight for us was their camp kitchen - well supplied with everything but most importantly there was a beautiful fire that was such a treat. Outside it was a chilly 8 deg and a blustery wind. The owners have set it up really well and work hard to maintain everything in excellent condition.

We had 2 nights in a cabin in the park. It was OK - pretty basic - but most things worked, including the wifi and hot water. So that was good. TV reception was a bit more intermittent. The bunk beds are definitely not comfortable for adults. Never seemed to be anyone at reception when we were there, so didn't get to meet our hosts. It seems Zeehan's mining industry is undergoing a bit of a revival at the moment, so accommodation was limited, and expensive for what you get. Location was a bit out of town and nice and quiet.

Hello- thank you for your feedback. We do try and make it very clear on all the booking platforms that the bunks are not really suitable for adults. However some booking platforms do not allow the hotel to write their own information so it is not as clear. Unfortunately we do get our TV from an antenna located near Queenstown so reception can be hit and miss. While we are not always sitting in our office, at the time of your stay we were open from 9.30am to 8.30pm (possibly with the exception of a few minutes here and there if we have to pop out). There is a service bell on the desk that can be used if we are not inside and we will respond.

It may not be flash as far as Motel or Hotel Accommodation goes, but neither does it pretend to be other than a “Glamping” option. However, in doing so, it also appears to greatly underate itself. Upon arrival, the manager was very warm in his welcoming and provided considerable information ranging from rules of the camp to sights to see in the local area and districts.
The cabin contained a very comprehensive guest compendium. It also had four rooms (including the bathroom). Lounge areas contained a sofa (which could also be converted to a bed), table and chairs and a television. Also in the same room was a well-equipped kitchenette complete with complimentary tea/coffee. Two rooms provided sleeping areas, with one having a three-tiered bunk while the other had a double bed along with plenty of storage space and a desk from which to be able to work from. Excellent for families. The bathroom was of sufficient size, as was the shower.
It may have looked basic, but it offered everything (and often more) than could be expected from a Motel Unit.
Town Centre was located nearby as was Spray Tunnel.

We were misled by the reviews. I think the camping and glamping reviews are mixed together giving a false result.
The tents themselves are ok but very close together and not well sited so low level voices from the next tent kept us awake until 1am. Workers stay in the onsite cabins and leave for work from 5am so we had an early wake up.
The clampers lounge is a tiny transportable office/shed basic but it serves as a TV room, mini kitchenette and 2 person dining table and wouldn’t cope if more than 4 people wanted to use it together.
Access to the kitchen is through the campers living area which was full with teenagers and a couple of adults watching TV. The kitchen was ok for camping but busy and not what you’d expect for glamping.
It was so bad we left after 1 night forgoing a night. Very expensive for what is offered and the area which is not very pleasant.

Firstly- there was nothing misleading about the reviews you read- we only book our "BYO" tent camping sites directly, there is no no way that a camper in our park could have put a review up on the booking platform that you booked through. All the reviews you read on that booking platform were from other guests who stayed in exactly the same Glamping tent as you- For readers of this review ALL other reviews for this Glamping experience have been very positive. In fact, the 5 star Tripadvisor review just before yours (from Elizabeth) was another Glamper in on the exact same night as you. Following your early departure we spoke to the other Glampers who were in that night. None of them reported noise issues. We monitor noise in our park and as our policy states we do not allow music or loud groups after 10.30pm. However in the spirit of camping, a few people sitting around a campfire talking is part of the experience. We would have been happy to discuss any issues in relation to this had you raised them with us. The other Glamping guests also all reported they had been happily using the guest kitchen area and were thankful for the fire on the cold and wet night that it was. This is a space for all our guests but if you wanted to use another area, other than your tent, you could have used the Glampers only lounge space which you would have had completely to yourselves as everyone else was enjoying the other spaces. Our Park does have Glampers as well as campers who bring their own tents. While we have ample space, we heavily restrict the number of campers to ensure everyone has access to all amenities. While we are sorry that our Park did not meet your expectations, possibly an accommodation setting with no shared facilities or communal spaces would better suit your needs?

Whatever you think you might need they have thought about it, we had a lovely time sitting by the fire (wood is ready for you when you get there). The park in itself is beautiful, showers are clean, kitchen well setup. you might encounter quite a few wallabies if getting up at night, and the sound of the birds in the morning is fantastic.

Glamping tent was very comfortable with lots of little things provided such as an umbrella and fire pit including everything to get you going. Heater and split electric blankets on a comfy bed. Facilities were newly refurbished and very clean. Fully equipped camp kitchen with small individual fridge/freezer for each tent and BBQ area with 2 new large BBQs. We didn't but self catering would be easily done. Easy walk to town although supermarket is a fair way. Woke to the sounds of the bush.

Wow, what an absolute treasure of a find, stayed here for a friends 50th Birthday Celebration. The camp manager was friendly, happy and informative. The Glamping tents were roomy, comfortable and well maintained. Showers and toilets very clean. It really was a beautiful spot.

Sent 4 nights here and found it to be one of the cleanest and friendliest campsites in Tassie. Ali and Clayton are wonderful hosts and will help you out anyway they can.
Great indoor camp kitchen and fireplace for cold spring evenings.
A great jumping off base for Montezuma Falls, Trial River and the extensive museum in Zeehan. Loved every minute of our stay
