Wharf hotel is situated at end of Goldie Street which is the main street through Wynyard, easy access to small marina and walk along the river. The hotel (pub/bistro/restaurant) is well supported by locals, there is reasonable parking space off the road, plus street-side if needed. Rooms are basic but bed was comfortable, shower room was adequate. I was concerned...

Not Great. I ordered the pan fried Trevally. 25 Minutes later it was served to the guy next to me. He had ordered the parmagana. He stated that he asked the girl serving and she said it was for him. He took it and ate it . 10 minutes later his parma arrived at my table . I said that...

We found the staff here to be efficient and very polite. They gave our kids some colouring pages and they came back to check how things were going on numerous occasions. The meals were good by the steak very tough. The prawns and scallops on the reef and beef were excellent. Shame about the meat hit overall worth a visit....

Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the river and wharf area. Perfect location for watching the Tulip Festival fireworks. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was also good.

I think we stayed in the same room as Jessica, the one with the Boag sign, and new curtains have been fitted. Very friendly staff, good food in the bar and a very clean and pleasant room and bathroom. Good value.

Stayed in this country pub with the family. Rooms are functional and affordable, bathroom freshly renovated. Friendly staff on check in. So far so good but OMG those curtains! With perhaps the world's biggest illuminated Boags beer sign just outside the window, the room really needed those curtains functioning. See my pic and you will get my irritation. Only a...

I agree with everyone about the staff being very friendly/hospitable. The only reason it did not receive a 4 is due to the lack of the basic amenities that I REALLY needed: iron, blow dryer, face washer and there was no milk in the refrig for the coffee/tea. I was first given room 7 but the tv was old and...

We stayed and arrived on a public holiday when the hotel was closed. We'd used a booking site but the manager (khyle) contacted us to let us know where to find the key etc. it is an old hotel and it's good to see it being renovated. When it's all done it will look really majestic again. Couple of things...

Stopped for a night here while passing through wynyard for the first time, staff were refreshingly welcoming, polite and friendly. Do yourself a favor and grab a steak from the bar and grill, it was the first properly cooked and rested steak I had eaten in tasmania at a fraction of the cost of other joints.... rooms more than satisfactory,...
