We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely old house, full of wonderful Tasmanian history.A real feel of days gone by.Despite the age of the rooms, they were comfy ,roomy and the beds comfortable ,despite only being double size. Our host Pam was lovely, and her garden (despite the lack of rain) still pleasing to the eye. We also appreciated Pam's suggestion...

Hi Mick W,glad you enjoyed your stay and the history of this place as well as learning more about the town and district through Pearns steam world and the carvings in St Andrews Church. Thanks for the heads up on the ensuite floor - I will certainly look into this. P.S. Had two small autumn rains this week - everything...

The wonderfull rambling landscaping. The beautifully evocative historical feel of the superb establishment dont draw attention immediately. It is something that is atmospheric. The rooms are warm. The showers hot and generous. The sheets ample clean and restfull. But the shock is the restaurant. A wonderfull Tasmanian red along with an Eye Fillet and roast vegetables. I wont even try...

I judge dogs and the local Kennel Club booked me into this historical inn for 5 nights. And how glad am I that they did. I can highly recommend double room 4 at the end of the veranda. It is a comfortably appointed long room with French doors opening onto beautiful gardens. Friendly chickens add a nice touch. A new...

Thank you Ullaz for your lovely review. So glad you were able to enjoy this beautiful place. Extra special that you have mentioned some of the features which were part of the recent renovations i.e. ensuites and french doors opening into the garden. Yes I do like to cook with our local fresh produce - lucky to have such wonderful...

In responce to a comment below and to support the owner, my wife and I are locals in the Westbury area. We have lived here for over 17 years, we are regulars at the bar and dinning table in Fitzpatrick's Inn. To keep the local coming back time and time again, that being at least once every two months or...

Thank you Glen B. It is lovely to have you as a regular guest and your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your plums each year so that I can make worchestershire sauce in which to cook the Tasmanian scallops. Guests find this unique. Also I know that some of your alpaca fleece ended up in the beautiful...

You have this beautiful property with a lovely garden and an old world charm of a building, but that all means nothing if your manager is rude. Can I suggest something? Maybe if tourists wish to wander through your garden, you don't tell them to bugger off? You represent a business and should do so in a friendly and approachable...

To have people who were trespassing on my property, write a review on Tripadvisor, is beyond belief! Yes I do have a beautiful property with a lovely garden, which is also my home and my business which is a private hotel. I often have people knock on my door and politely ask if they can have a look around my...

Fitzpatrick Inn has exceeded our expectations in many ways. The room was warm, clean and cosy. Bathroom was modern and spacious. The best of all is the owner, Pam, who made our stay memorable. Our arrival was delayed till near midnight and Pam made sure our room was heated for us. Breakfast was served at time that suited us instead...

A fabulous B&B with the option of dinner in the ballroom overlooking the garden. After a drink in the private bar, we dined in and enjoyed the best fillet steak of our trip along with some excellent local wine - both very reasonably priced. The property has wonderful character and history and Pam is keen to share it and it's...
