Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Centrally located. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Ease of a supermarket close by to grab some supplies and head back to the room. Great for families. Thank you to the team at B&F we had a very comfortable stay. We highly recommend and will be back!

As far as motel goes this is very good, checkin very quick, friendly and room nice size with very well maintained. Room has a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave so great if you have your own supplies Bathroom clean with toiletries provided only issue with shower was getting a warm temperature it was either very hot or cold for awhile after about 3 - 5 minutes it came good to a warm temperature. Would recommend this motel and happy to stay again if occasion arrived.

what a special place to stay - an amazing place in such a peaceful environment and incredible and helpful staff. Rooms so clean and cleaners so willing to top up everything and change your linen and towels. The little dogs there, Charlie and Abbie, are part of the family, but watch out for Abbie coz she lies in the middle of the drive, so be cautious so you dont run over her. If you are going to stay in ULverstone, stay at the Bass and Flinders - their food is incredible - the chef used to cook for navy officals and the portions are so big that you have to take them back to your room and spend a week getting though them! Amazing food and all so fresh - thank you so much you guys

Passed by this property on the way to various towns and Stanley on a day trip from Launceston and kept it in mind for our return. After a less than warm reception at another property we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner here. The room was clean and well-appointed so we decided to try the restaurant. More friendly staff and good food. Some of the diners seemed to be locals which we thought showed that the restaurant was well-regarded. This motel also serves breakfast, so we didn’t have to go in search of a cafe. Reasonable prices too. We would stay here again when visiting the north west coast of Tassie

This motel is one of the best I have stayed in. Bed and pillow very comfortabel. Good quality line. Microwave and crockery was a plus. Shelf space for all the luggage etc. Plenty of space in bathroom to sit makeup and other toiletries. It was great to have the on site laundry and restaurnat available. Very clean and lovely staff. Can't wait to go back. Also within walking distance of the beach.

Check-in seamless. Mary runs a great get up here. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Linen Clean and Fresh. Good thread count and comfortable. Pillows Soft, more available in the room if you need them. Iron & Board provided. Big Mini Fridge. Shower bathroom spacious and clean. Water pressure and hot water great. A little Traffic Noise but at night hardly any noise at all. This place was excellent.

The Bass and Flinders Motor Inn was a very quiet hotel Unfortunately as it was Sunday, the restaurant was closed, hence we went downtown at the pier for dinner. The rooms are clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The shower/bathroom needed some renovation. The shower also could do with a bit more water pressure. Breakfast was punctual and served hot. There is convenient parking right in front of the door.

We stayed here on our first night in tassie and on our way back to the boat. The rooms are clean and tidy, bed comfortable, showers clean. Spacious rooms. The owner was very friendly and recommended places to eat and told us how long it would take us to get to the boat.

Ulverstone is not a tourism magnet, but is centrally placed in the region, and has good services for the traveller. Last time I stayed in the town my night was disrupted by a freight train moving through the town during the small hours, sounding horn at each of the many street crossings. Bass & Flinders Motor Inn is well away from said train, or busy roads, and this together with a nice bed allowed a more restful stopover. Rooms are spacious and clean. There is a restaurant, and breakfasts can be ordered. Good parking available.
