A roomy, private and comfortable cabin with stunning views. Good amenities - we took extra tea, coffee, milk as we were there for a couple of days and like a few cuppas. Bed was really comfortable. TV reception was terrible, but we had books to read so didn't mind too much. If you want to use your mobile phone as a hotspot you can apparently get Netflix, etc., but we didn't bother. Would definitely stay here again - worth waking up early for the sunrise!
We had such a lovely time there because the cabin was just breathtaking. The view was amazing since we had ocean views from the living room and the bead room + not visibility on the other rooms. It felt very private. Everything was clean.
Best part about this was the view of the ocean After that it was pretty average Very small for a out paid No reception on premises ihad to call to work out how to use the TV via set top box Very little tea or coffee bags ran out after one day and no one replaced for second day Went to use BBQ outside too windy no shelter from wind and BBQ ful of spider webs
My wife and I were quite delighted by Hamptons on the Bay. I think we had some low expectations given what we'd seen on our drive up from Hobart earlier that day. We arrived before dark and surprised at the cute cabin we'd booked. There are only seven cabins in total (in addition to the house you can book...at a vastly different price point) The cabins are literally perched on the side of a steep hill and look down to the waves crashing on the rocks and across to the Freycinet peninsula, which as the sun set, lit up the Hazard mountains so they shone remarkably in yellow and pink . My only call out would be there was no WiFi - anywhere on the property even though the emails they sent us said it was available at receptions (which was never manned our entire stay). The fact that reception isn't manned is neither here nor there as they give you a code to access your cabin which has a very convenient electronic lock. The cabins themselves are perfectly adequate for a couple or a couple plus one child. They're small to be sure, but all you need.…
We stayed 1 night and like others walked away disappointed. Yes the views are great but they are spoiled by the way they have done the windows. The cabins themselves have the feel of a scout hut and they are in desperate need of a refresh. A bottle of water was supposed to be provided so we didn't have to boil the tap water but we didn't get one. Comfy bed and only 10 minutes to Swansea but do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
