Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cute little cottages very close to the water. It was so lovely to hear the waves on the rocks from our room, we were sad to go after our 2 nights. The view was beautiful, the room clean and bed comfortable. I would recommend to update your listing to confirm there are toasters provided, I couldn’t find that and wished I had taken some crumpets.

Beautiful small cozy cabin situated on the cliff facing the sea. The cabin is equipped with all the necessary equipment such as a microwave oven, induction stove, electric kettle, mini fridge, heater, TV.... etc. The bathroom is clean and fully equipped too. I was greeted by the beautiful sunrise in the morning. Hope to come back here again to have a longer stay

Highly recommend this property The cabin was exactly what was advertised. Clean, easily accessible, great parking and great amenities. The only thing was that there was no milk fritter for the coffee machine but other than that it was a great place to stay. The views were awesome and a short walk to the beach.

Room Tip: Passed the entrance at first. Bigger signage before property would be great.

Our family of 3 stayed in the one bedroom cabin. We had the most peaceful, serene stay. We loved every second, from the minute you open the door you have an incredible view of the ocean, the space is small and compact but has all the ammenities you need. The sunrise from the bedroom window of a morning was absolutely breathtaking. Checkin & checkout were super simple and the communication from the property was seamless. We also loved Kate’s berry farm for breakfast, which was just a short drive from the property. We stopped at the bark mill tavern for dinner, which was also amazing, good food, great atmosphere and the staff were so attentive and accommodating. We cannot wait to return for another stay at Hamptons on the bay.

We stayed in a gem of a cottage perched above the rocks looking out at the waves and sunrise. Quiet and conveniently located to exploring Swansea, Freycinet, Maria Island and the spiky bridge and the many little beaches were all within easy distance. The cottage was warm, clean and well furnished and the bed comfortable. The stars at night were stunning too

The cabin we were given was not what I thought I’d booked at all What we were in was a small shack/ cabin while the picture featured on Booking . Com was of a modern clean open residence The rate I was very highI actually paid similar in Hobart in a 5 star hotel including breakfast I feel that’s a misrepresentation I did complain and was told if I’d looked further on the booking site I would have seen the cabins I’d have never booked in this poor quality accomodation especially at 5 star prices Tv doesn’t work properly, no milk in fridge ( they were providing tea coffee etc) Location is ok but accomodation 30 years out of date !!

After 4 nights on King Island at Kittawa Lodge (see separate review) we flew to Launceston collected a rental car and drove through the wonderful countryside of the East Coast of Tassie and arrived at Hamptons on the Bay. We wanted a rest for 4 nights. Whilst there are seven cabins on the property we opted for the “Residence”. There were only the 2 of us but we wanted space so we loved the fact that the house had 3 large bedrooms all with ensuites. The couches all 4 of them are vey Hamptons styled and all face the wonderful view looking at Freycinet. My wife wants the daybed couch for our place… terrific idea. Furniture and fit out is all Hamptons and the house is practically on the rocks of the ocean. The waves kept putting us to sleep so we left totally rejuvenated. We cooked every meal in as we enjoy our own cooking. A must do is take the drive to Freycinet National Park and visit the park along with Coles Bay and ensure you try the crayfish and oysters which are in abundance. On the way back we stopped Devils Corner windy for tastings and lunch. Make sure you enjoy plenty of the wonderful wines produced in Tassie. The photos on the website and on trip advisor are an accurate picture of the house.

A roomy, private and comfortable cabin with stunning views. Good amenities - we took extra tea, coffee, milk as we were there for a couple of days and like a few cuppas. Bed was really comfortable. TV reception was terrible, but we had books to read so didn't mind too much. If you want to use your mobile phone as a hotspot you can apparently get Netflix, etc., but we didn't bother. Would definitely stay here again - worth waking up early for the sunrise!

We had such a lovely time there because the cabin was just breathtaking. The view was amazing since we had ocean views from the living room and the bead room + not visibility on the other rooms. It felt very private. Everything was clean.
