Great location (just on the outer edge of town adjacent to Jubilee Beach) looking across Great Oyster Bay towards Freycinet National Oark. Comfortable cabins (I stayed in one of their studio cabins which also had a pretty good view), with plenty of space and amenities. The park itself is well set up, kept clean and tidy, and is so quiet you can hear the waves crashing onto the beach. The staff that I interacted with throughout my stay were friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is travelling the east coast of Tassie to stay here.

We spent a couple of nights here in July 2020. We are a family of three - two adults and an 11 year old - and would strongly recommend this as a great option for other families who want to explore the East Coast and Freycinet Peninsula without paying Coles Bay prices for accommodation!

We had a Waterfront Chalet, and would strongly recommend paying a little extra for the view and the privacy that is afforded by being right on the beachfront.

The chalet itself had everything we needed - comfy little living area, basic but well equipped kitchen, nice spacious bathroom, and very comfy beds. The whole place was SPOTLESSLY clean, they really do an incredible job with that, especially considering how many people probably trek in sand from the beach.

It's really lovely having the beach so close, literally just a minute's walk. The chalets are also very handy for walking or driving into Swansea for food and drink. Lisa was incredibly welcoming, and had a wealth of information about what was open in the area.

We can't wait for our next trip, will definitely be booking again.

We stayed 3 nights. The seaside “chalets” (or think upmarket cabins) are relatively new so everything was in excellent condition even if supplies etc are on the basic side for the price. Sea view is lovely…see photos…but of course costs more to stay in a chalet with the views. The bathroom needed a free standing cabinet (or similar) - nowhere to place clean clothes etc when stepping out of the shower; also hardly any space at all for toiletries next to handbasin/mirror. Restaurants in area are pleasant enough (we went to 2 casual dining places); we had 1 special night out at Piedmont Restaurant - a few kilometres out of Swansea. The oysters (direct from the farm just out of town) were really beautiful - accompanied by a glass of local white wine while sitting on the deck & taking in the sea view…lovely memory!

We'd only booked in at the Swansea Beach Chalets for one night, en route to Freycinet National Park.
But already I'm planning a summer return!
Perfectly located on the beach at the north end of Swansea, this place is just lovely. We had a two bedroom beach front cabin that was superb - spotlessly clean, heating left on for us (so thoughtful) and two big bedrooms and bathroom, plus outdoor eating deck and an additional deck overlooking the bay.
It was modern, spacious and wonderful.
The venue itself had some prime camping spots, anda lovely looking pool and was within walking distance of food and drink options.
The perfect place to slow down and take stock!

If you can snag a beachside cabin, you're in for a relaxing and scenic stay. Well appointed cabin overlooking the beach and some nearby firepits. The pool was crystal clear, but the nearby games room (featuring TV, ping pong table and pool table) for the kids was a little tired - which you might expect with regular kid usage. Note this is the only reason we didn't give it 5 stars. Everything else is great, and Lisa (the manager) was incredibly helpful and friendly - so much so, the wife stated this was our best stay so far on our circumnavigation of tassie. Kitchen was small but has everything you need to cook something up (I managed to whip up my Spinach and Chorizo pasta for the family quite easily).

We recently stayed at one of the beach front chalets with my 89 year old mum. The property was spotless and well equipped, the view fantastic with easy access to the beach and the staff were absolutely brilliant throughout our stay. Lisa phoned me within minutes of booking to respond to a request I had and Rachel phoned with an update the day of check in. We would highly recommend a multi-day stay at Swansea Beach Chalets. The location allows for easy day trips...we went to Freycinet National Park and on a Pennicott Wineglass Bay cruise which was also brilliant.

Great spot to stay if planning to visit the Freycinet National Park. The cabins are practically on the waterfront with with amazing views across the bay towards the national park.

The staff were very friendly and great with recommendations for places to eat and things to see.

We only stayed for one night but the cabins had everything you need to stay for several nights (kitchen is very handy). The cabin was basic in its styling, but it was clean, tidy, functional and had nice big sliding doors facing the ocean.

The accommodation was a little expensive, but we booked quite close to when we stayed and the view certainly made it worthwhile. Small businesses like this are doing it tough with COVID-19 restrictions, so it's great to support them.

Would recommend and happily stay again.

We spent 2 nights in a beachfront chalet, which was an affordable alternative to Coles Bay. It was an easy drive to the national park from Swansea, and whilst the local pub seems to do a good business, it was easier to cook in the well equipped kitchen and the views from the deck are just stunning. The hosts were helpful with advice, maps and recommendations and the chalet was quiet, beds comfortable and clean. I would only recommend the beach view chalets, because otherwise your only view may be another cabin, although the facility is very spacious. So it’s worth paying that bit more.

Upon arrival, the reception ladies were very friendly and informative regarding sights around the area. When we walked into the entrance garden of our premium water view chalet, we were disappointed to see the surrounds around our cabin were unkempt ( see pics ) . Luckily, the inside of the cabin was spotless except for mould on the window frame above the shower. The condition of the interior definitely needed some attention, mirror had many rust marks and the carpet needed replacing. ( see pics ). The most disappointing part was our ‘water view’ overlooking the earth works and and digger. ( pics). We also couldn’t sit on the deck without hearing continuous beeps from the other earth works machinery . We were never informed upon booking, this would be an active construction site. Absolutely not worth $260!

Chalet is part of caravan park that situated right on the beach. Our chalet was right near the back but had the full view of the beach, so you can hear the sound of water crashing on the beach. Furthermore, it was a full moon so we had the silhouette of the moon casting on the water. MAGICAL. Chalet was comfortable with great amenities that you can cook without problems. Airconditioning was a bit slow but okay. Bedrooms had no heating so in winter can be a bit cold. Walk to the beach is a must as you can pick up shells that are enormous. Beautiful clean air. All in all I do recommend this hotel as it was clean, comfortable and functional. Also it was not far from town.

Hi Oystergal, Firstly my apologises I have only just seen your post. Our all access chalet is #7 and only has views from the veranda. The waterfront chalets do have 2 stairs leading down to the deck and the bathroom isn't wheelchair accessible. Best regards Lisa
