Had a great stay at Strahan Tourist Park , what a great place to take your dogs away for a break . So close to the beach and lots of beautiful walks . The cabin was clean and comfortable and all the utensils you would need.

We rang up last night at 7:40pm as our initial accommodation fell through and desperately needed somewhere to stay. We didn't think it would be too much of a bother due to their facebook page stating that they're always open and available. We rang up and the lady who answered the phone was disgustingly rude. She opened with "Are you serious? Do you realise what the time is? I was asleep". To which we then continued to apologise and ask how much it would cost per tent to stay in there the night. She then stated "oh for christ sake. Fine. Just drive in and we can sort your payment out in the f**king morning", and hung up on us. We didn't end up staying in there due to how uncredibly rude and disrespectful this piece was on the phone. To anyone who is in desperate need of somewhere to stay the night if your original accommodation falls through, the 24 hour caravan park is not the place as they evidently go to bed at 6pm every night and you will be yelled at over the phone.

We rocked up late one afternoon during the rain looking for an unpowered site for the night. Very accomodating, found a spot of grass that wasn’t too wet and checked us in quickly over the phone. Amenities were great and clean! We have been camping all over Tasmania (free camping and caravan parks) and these were by far the cleanest and best amenities we have used. So nice to have a hot shower. Great service. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Not too big a park so can be crowded if busy but wasn’t when we were there

Contactless check in..lady was lovely..this was the end of the good stuff! Cabin was filthy and unsafe (mould) and hadn’t been cleaned properly for a while! It smelt and the bunk beds mattresses were that thin my daughter could feel the slats through them when she sat down on them. We promptly left for somewhere else to stay....we were contacted by management so I sent the pics to explain why we didn’t stay....no apology and we weren’t charged. An absolute disgrace that people in the accomodation business think this is an acceptable level of service. Pics should tell the story! Never again!!

The park appeared nice with clean amenities but very dusty due to gravel roads and high winds. We were in a big caravan and it would seem that they struggle to accomodate larger vans - given the lack of alternatives, I recommend ringing ahead and booking. The rating for this park is based upon reception for an overnight stay - no booking, just took a chance. Reception was unattended so I called the mobile number and was advised by the female caretaker/manager/cleaner/everything else, that I was early for check-in which was at 12 noon. We were half an hour early and I was unaware of the check-in time, I said I was sorry and received in reply, ‘so am I!’ and said she would be with me shortly. Mrs huff & puff arrived shortly after and booked us in during which I felt like I was creating some form of injustice upon her by doing so. I saw a list of local eateries and asked if she could recommend one for dinner to which she replied, ‘dunno, don’t know your taste, you’ll have to read that list!’ Maybe I’m being a little too insensitive to the needs of the park manager, but as I see it, attitude and reception at point of contact is paramount to good customer service.
