We stayed in "The Barge" for 2 nights, very liveable accommodation, large flat screen tv, comfy lounge and bed, with a spectacular harbour view. Would rate it 5/5 but the noise from the upstairs unit detracted a little, couldn't hear talking, but toilet, shower noise and footsteps. This wouldn't deter us from rebooking in the future though. We dined in the restaurant and 11/10 for the professional friendly staff, view and the food. A new young chef from Hobart provided a fantastic dining experience. Try the Clover Hill Lamb Shoulder, slow cooked for 14 hours or the Brazilian Fish Stew, unforgettable. We loved our stay, first class.
The staff were so wonderful and friendly during our stay. Particularly the lovely Spanish lady who was always so positive, friendly and helpful. We were lucky to stay in the sawmill room, which is right on the riverfront and comes with two friendly ducks always keen to meet you.
Perfect location in Strahan for easy access to Gordon River Cruise and Wilderness Train ride. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and lounge area. Kitchenette facilities in room. Friendly staff and good restaurant on site. Laundry facilities basic but effective.
We stayed a single night in one of the two waterfront suites - Million dollar views and very well appointed accomodation, including bedroom, lounge and bathroom with spa. We also enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant - make sure you book in advance. And a pair of friendly ducks to greet you in the morning!
Always admired this resort, so thanks to the Tas Government vouchers - I was able to do so Meal at the restaurant started us on a 2 night top quality stay Room setup was great, comfortable bed and very clean. Our Sawmill Cottage overlooked the water We loved every minute. We also went to the play ‘The Ship that Never Was’ which was so good too. Well done Strahan
