We arrived at franklin manor where the hospitality was lovely, rooms very nice, bed comfortable with comfy pillows. Within walking distance to the few eating places in Strahan and where you catch the cruise tours. Only downside would be the simple breakfast of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and toast, no other choices.

What a Gem. This is a delightful B&B / Boutique Hotel in a superb location in Strahan When Christine provided us with such a warm welcome and assisted us to settle in we knew we were staying somewhere special. Christine assisted us with a dinner booking requesting and obtaining a window seat with a magnificent view overlooking Strahan. Breakfast was...

Cosy, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, charming hosts. Delicious and substantial continental breakfast, home bakes, fresh fruits. Warm fire in the lounge, lovely after a wet but beautiful Gordon River cruise. Home away from home.

At the end of a week's driving holiday around Tasmania, we'd planned to undertake a day cruise on Macquarie Harbour and the Gordon River, which needed a two night stay in Strahan to do it justice. Franklin Manor was the perfect choice. Christine's and Craig's welcome was warm and genuine, and they were a ready source of recommendations for dining...

We stayed for one night in late February. This hotel has been beautifully renovated and provides bed and breakfast only. The hosts could not have been more helpful. Our room was small but nicely furnished and the hotel is comfortable with lovely grounds. It was perfect for our one night stay

This is an old manor house renovated as a B and B but it offers more than just B and B. The rooms are well furnished - the one we stayed in was a little small but comfortable. The hostess Christine received us with great warmth and made us feel comfortable. Being slightly lame the staircase was daunting and steep...

The Manor is expertly managed and the hosts, Christine and Craig, go out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. A satisfactory continental breakfast is offered in the pleasant ambience of the dining spaces. The...

From the moment we staggered in after a long drive in the rain to the moment we left we were made to feel like friends or family. In no time at all Christine had us booked in to the best restaurant in town with a window seat and Craig had helped me select a couple of bottles of Tasmanian wine....

This was a lovely boutique hotel. It has a lot of character. We were warmly welcomed by the proprietor, who lives in the house, and shown to our room. There were nice little touches - sprigs of foliage on bed, in toilet roll and in bathroom, homemade biscuits in the room and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We were...
