Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for two nights, and had a wonderful stay. The two room unit was comfortable and clean, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Very peaceful, we slept well here. The check in was convenient, and the owner friendly. The property is well cared for, only a five minute drive to the town center. It was perfect for our two day stop-over in Strahan.

We arrived and found parking a bit awkward but managed. The check in process was easy, the room itself was clean and warm when we arrived. Comfortable bed with electric blanket. Kettle, microwave, and toaster provided however the only food provided were cornflakes and wheatbix, I’m lactose intolerant so neither of these were options for me. This wouldn’t be an issue but if you’re going to advertise as a bnb it behooves you to offer an adequate breakfast option. This being said if you’re just looking for a motel it ticks all the boxes. The walls are quite thin so you can hear the people in the other room clearly but this wasn’t really an issue for us. All in all a pleasant stay and you certainly get your money’s worth.

A great convenient accommodation for a short stop in Strahan. Everything you could need in one lovely location. Kitchen had a good supply of dishes, bed was very comfortable. Easy parking, close to main road but you didn't notice the traffic.

This small B&B style property is in a quiet out of the way location on the edge of Strahan and consists of two units. One is a small, motel style the other is a surprisingly spacious and well equipped two bedroom apartment style unit. My brother and I ended up staying in the latter which we found to be very comfortable, clean and surprisingly well equipped with more than enough kitchen utensils for our stay. The actual kitchen appliances, which we didn't use, seemed quite old and probably warrant replacing if only in the interest of guest who might want to cook their own meals which we weren't especially interested in doing. The beds were also quite firm but not enough to prevent either us from enjoying a good night's sleep. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider Strahan Harbour Views for our stay next time we are in Strahan.

We stayed for a night in the twin room not expecting much for $85 and were pleasantly surprised to have a warm and well appointed space with separate rooms, a kitchenette, electric blankets and basic breakfast provided! Perfect for a couple and a child, with a spare mattress under the bed in the single room if you have an extra person. We arrived late with no hassle as the owner is on site. Would stay here again.

The unit was reasonably priced at $95. It was clean and well equipped. The bathroom with shower and toilet was good. There is a microwave and a fridge. The TV was tiny and the old box style, but one shouldn't go to Strahan to watch TV I guess. The mattress was hard and we could feel springs in our backs. This made for a very poor two nights sleep. In all for the price it is good average accommodation in a lovely spot only two minutes from the main drag. If the bed wasn't so uncomfortable I would have upped my grade from 3 to 4.

What a wonderful little place - so clean, peaceful, quiet, and reasonable in price! It was all the little extras that made it adorable (go there and find out for yourselves)! It was a high on a hill, full of trees, and beautiful flowers! Very close to town, the supermarket, activities, the water....don't be put off by the views, as it is totally worth it! The owners were lovely, and very accommodating! The place is just unique!

We were looking for one nights accommodation on a budget. This place ticked all the boxes. Very clean and comfortable. Room heating, electric blanket and bathroom heating. Small welcome gifts - fantales and smarties :) Everything we needed was in the room. Bed was a bit hard for our liking which is the only fault.

Price was the main reason we chose to stay here. We were travelling around Tassie and this was a convenient stopover place for one night. It was a bit further out of town than I expected probably a 20-30 minute walk and it will be all uphill on the return journey. They room itself was cosy with everything we needed. Check in went smoothly. They TV in the room is an old small one with a set top box.
