We stayed upstairs & struggled with the stairs. The bathroom has the shower over the bath. Very disappointing & would not recommend to anyone aged over 50 as they would struggle with those stairs & having a shower. Despite being listed as having a restaurant, there isn't. We dined at the pub which had good choices & not expensive. However as it is the only place open at night for dinner you must book. It was packed the 2 nights we dined & the staff turned away those without a booking.

Awesome view over the harbour and the mountain called “The Nut”. Walking along foreshore is wonderful. The view from lazing in bed is terrific. Comfy and warm. Spa bath. Everything you for an overnight stay or a week. Great job to the staff. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Apartment 8 which had a lovely view, comfortable bed & efficient air conditioner. However it is not self catering (as claimed) when all that is provided is tea, coffee, a kettle, 2 mugs, 2 knives,2 forks, 2 teaspoons & 2 small plates. There are not even bowls & spoons with which to eat some cereal! I mentioned this when checking out but the receptionist didn’t seem interested. If you stay here bring your own cereal bowls!

It was wonderful staying in the old converted bake house complete with the old oven. Very comfortable bedding and soft towels. The cottage was extremely comfortable with air conditioning to keep us warm. Check in and check out was very easy and the staff pleasant.

We had an upstairs queen room. You couldn’t get a better view, delightful! The room was clean and a good size. Some chairs are place near the picture window so you can watch the sea in all its beauty. The bed was awful for us; saggy in the middle. We just didn’t get a good sleep. The shower is over the bath, which can be a bit tricky, a grab rail is provided and it is well placed. It is advertised as not having cooking facilities, which is true. There is a small bar fridge, a toaster, two small plates, wine classes and mugs. Tea, coffee and long life milk. If you want to enjoy your morning cereal without going out into the world bring you own bowls and spoons. We ate ate the pub and tried the fish from the place near the Village; both excellent.

We stayed 2 nights. Nice clean room with water views. Check-in was at the Stanley Hotel, which is 2 minutes from the accommodation. The room was well appointed with coffee and tea and a small fridge. Nice bed and a good shower. Quiet building. No complaints.

Tired out-dated room that is just an ordinary room. Whilst the view is nice that is all I can say about the room. I don't like the sound of toilet flushing and people showering above me. The seafood place across the road wakes you up early, plus it smells all the time! Stanley itself is very nice but I wouldn't stay in this accommodation again.

The apartment buildings are great, they were generally clean and tidy, but a little more dusting on the window ledges would help first impressions. We had an excellent view across the water, from the sea facing windows. We had No. 8 , which was an upstairs ( again ) suite. The bed was comfortable, the A/C heater worked well as did the TV. However, this is listed as a self catering unit, but the necessities for self catering were strangely missing. We had 2 knives, 2 forks, 1 cheese knife, 2 small bread plates, ( no breakfast bowls ).a corkscrew, a bottle stopper and 2 coffee mugs. No spoons. That's it. No microwave, no toaster, no oven or cooktop. The fridge was in the left side of the wardrobe. I think to call this a self catering unit is really stretching the term "self catering " to its absolute limit. We ended up buying cheap cutlery at the IGA along with some plastic plates. The bathroom was spotless and large, but it needed to be because it had a large spa bath with overhead shower. I would rather have had cooking facilities other than a spa. There are laundry facilities available on the premises. We ate dinner every night at The Stanley Hotel, which rather defeated the object of self catering.

View was good from the room. Bed was comfortable. The location was outside of the main town. Room was cramped with little room for our bags (had to stow them under the wall table. Rooms with shower baths are a turn off however there was plenty of room.

Didn’t know what to expect at Stanley and was very pleasantly surprised. Such a quaint little village atmosphere. Accommodation was well appointed, clean and comfortable. A little bonus to have the penguins pop up at the back of the building.
