A ok place with carpet on the floor like nearly all Australia which is really strange and 20 years backwards. But it is clean. Pretty small room, we had room 10 which was above the washing machines you could here them All night. Very friendly staff. Must book really early a place to eat in town. They have great barbecue kits ask for them. You need the car to go to town for a drink. A bar open till 7 pm or 8 pm would make this place a gem.

The Inn is located a little out of town but still only a five minute drive out of the little township of Stanley....the view of The Nut is stunning especially at sunset or in the early morning! The rooms were probably a little on the older side, but were well equipped and the heating worked well - even though it was late October, the Tasmanian chill was definitely there, so having the heaters on for our arrival was a nice touch! We arrived out of office hours but the directions to the room were easy to follow and it was simple to get luggage up to the second floor regardless of the lack of lifts. A comfortable spot to base yourself for a couple of days to explore Stanley and it's beautiful surrounds.

I don't get some of the glowing reviews. The accommodation I would best describe as adequate. As a couple, we were given twin beds; I still like sleeping with my wife. We were there in spring, so air conditioning wasn't an issue, soheat in the room could be an issue in summer. Don't rely on se breezes; they are quite a way from the water. Seaview? We had at best a limited view from our room. Hallways are narrow, and not accessible directly from a car. Room was small. There are stairs up to the rooms, no ramp, so you have to lift suitcases up stairs. Travel light if you go there. No meals facilities. Limited places to eat in town.

Response from Clint Walker, General Manager at Stanley Seaview Inn
Responded 6 Dec 2023
Hello, The room you booked was our Budget Twin Room and this is very clearly advertised as having twin bedding. We've even popped it in the room title to avoid any confusion. You were placed in the exact room that you booked and it is NOT advertised as having a view. We have a number of Seaview rooms available to choose from, perhaps you just selected the wrong one. Regards, Codie Manager

Beautiful clean rooms, with great warm shower & super comfy beds. We were kindly upgraded to a seaview room. The rooms all have a fantastic view of the ocean and The Nut. Very easy 5 minute walk to see penguins at night if you are lucky. The town is not big and most cafes/food places close early, so be sure to have food, or book at the pub in advance. Highly recommend this motel.

The view over the township of Stanley was fantastic and it was only a few minutes drive from the centre of town. The bed was comfortable and the room was well heated, as was the bathroom. There was free parking onsite right next to our room. The reception staff were friendly and obliging.

We arrived the inn and was greeted by the friendly reception. She was kind to introduce us the places of interests in Stanley. The hotel even provided us the red torch for us to watch the penguins. The room also has the sea view and the sunrise make it worthwhile. #bestviewofstanley

The accomodation was a beautiful spot with a beautiful outlook over the town and a great view of The Nut. The staff were very helpful and friendly with anything that you needed. There is a little bar lounge onsite which was a great place to sit, relax and reflect and have a drink and nibbles. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spacious, though they shower and toilet were in the same space with just a shower curtain in between, we had to wear shoes to go the toilet after showering so our feet/socks did not get wet.

We had a family room - two bedrooms (queen and 2 singles), kitchen, lounge and bathroom with tub. Nice layout, very clean, fabulous views across the neighbouring farmland to Stanley and The Nut. Kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine, microwave and full oven, which is a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.
