Our second stay at Gardenia House was as good as the first. Nicely renovated and comfortable little house in a fantastic location. Just a short scroll to everything in town and the ever impressive Nut. Loved the wood fireplace and comfortable bed. Thanks again Michelle! We’ll be back before too long I hope.

Beautiful to sit on the front verandah watching dolphins play in the bay at Tatlow beach, sunsets and having a chat to the many folks walking by. Just a stroll up to the shops and breakfast at Touchwood. The old house's and history with the Nut is a photographers delight, a few beers at the Stanley Pub with the best dinnertime food to complete a perfect holiday here in Stanley on the North West Coast of Tasmania

Lovely home we shared with our travelling companions. Rooms good size. Had our own bathrooms. Kitchen well equipped. House manager Michelle very nice. Great location overlooking the beach with The Nut right behind. We all climbed the nut. Wow that took some stamina.

Absolutely perfect for two couples travelling together as we were. Location is fabulous, with town just there. Great views; front of the house overlooks a beach and the beautiful back garden is at the foot of The Nut. Inside of the house is gorgeous, extremely comfy with everything you need, there are separate areas for both couples, or part of the house can be booked by individual couples. King Bedroom is huge with a very comfortable bed and beach view from the bay window. Lots of special features; fireplace, claw foot bath, large dining table and kitchen area with everything you need although we chose to mostly eat out. Loved our stay, would highly recommend & we plan to return one day.

Gardenia House is just the most beautiful home nestled at the very foot of The Nut and also affords you stunning views of the beach as you sip your tea whilst you sit in the sun-drenched bay windows at the front of the house. The Gardenia House renovation is sympathetic to the period of the house but also has all the mod cons to make your stay comfortable. The fireplace was just wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to come home to after a windy, chilly wait to see the cute little penguins!!!! The only suggestion I would make is to replace the two red tub chairs in front of the fire with a couch for more comfort. A garage is available but there is also ample space for off road parking if you have a small car. Be warned however, that the house takes on a life of it's own on a very windy night - either that or the ghost of an old fisherman visits to rattle windows and doors. Either way, I will definitely be looking to book Gardenia House on my next visit to Stanley.
