Couldn’t help myself, had to write a poem in honour of our wonderful time at Poet’s cottage! The cottage is a beautifully restored Georgian home, cleverly transformed into a warm and comfortable bed and breakfast. Geraldine and Dave are wonderful hosts and the breakfast they provided was cafe quality with fun and interesting conversation. We enjoyed reading some of the books from the library whilst soaking in the sun in the front lounge, with Stanley harbour right out the window. Poet’s cottage is such a fitting place to stay in beautiful Stanley. We loved it and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel like they’ve dived right into the postcard picture Stanley experience.

We had an amazing stay in gorgeous Stanley and definitely recommend Poets Cottage!
Beautifully restored, this heritage listed property was warm, cozy, comfortable and inviting and hosts Geraldine and Dave made us feel more than welcome.
We walked everywhere during our stay, up the Nut , into town and along to Highfield House - this is a fabulous location and we would 100% recommend.
Stanley and Poets cottage is a must visit!
