Peter makes you welcome the minute you arrive. Each room has its own bathroom and our room had a small sitting room where the sunlight streamed in. The rooms are immaculately made up. We even had fresh roses. Peter allows you use of the whole house. He is attentive to every detail and cannot do enough for you. He even takes a beautiful portrait shot of all his guests (best photos of ourselves ever!) Fabulous place to stay in this lovely spot in NE Tassie.

A very nice, comfortable b&b, with two bedrooms available, both with ensuite. Approx walk of 800 metres to the town (and pub). Easy walk on the flat road, pavement most of the way. Car parking on-site. The owner, Peter, very friendly and helpful - he recommended the pub and made the booking - AFL fan and great football knowledge. Place is very clean. Fullly cooked breakfast available. If you want to book, go through his website and save some money. Quiet nice sleep. Not much traffic.

From the moment that we arrived Peter could not do enough make our visit special.
Well appointed room with separate small sitting area, lovely bathroom with excellent shower, fabulous breakfast and warm attentive host. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and immaculately maintained. Nowhere better to stay. St Mary’s is a small but pretty town centrally located for many interesting visits. We loved the Bay of Fires.

Other have written reviews commenting on the cleanliness of this property, the attention to detail in the fixtures and fittings, the quality and quantity of the breakfast and last, but not least, the friendliness of Peter. All we can really say is WE AGREE.
This is without a shadow of doubt the best B & B we have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in many in Australia, N.Z. and the U.K.. If you are anywhere in the vicinity of St Marys make the effort to stay with Peter. You will love it as much as we do. Better still - alter your itinerary to say in St Marys. It is very central and convenient to lts of interesting places.

Thank you Robert and Sue for your wonderful company over 2 nights and for writing your heartfelt review. I loved being your host, sharing in great conversations, especially our family histories, electric cars, the environment and your wonderful travel experiences. I am glad you were able to take in the Bay of Fires, meeting Ian Summers ( Cranks and Tinkerer's Museum) and his banjo, plus the friendliness and meals at the St Marys Hotel. Thank you too Robert for the lovely words that you wrote in my Guest book. I am especially pleased that you appreciated the cleanliness of my B&B, the comfortable bed and hearty breakfasts. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay. With best wishes and warm regards Peter

What a pleasant place to stay in this very quite part of Tasmania. Peter is a man of many talents including cooking a great breakfast. Would recommend this place to everyone. The drive in from the coast is also a great experience for those of us from flat Westerns Australia. And GO DOCKERS.

Our stay at Addlestone was a delight. Host Peter's personal and charming welcome ranks very highly amongst our 10 nights stay in Tasmania. His house is immaculately clean. We enjoyed large and luxurious bath towels (which not all B&Bs can boast!). His personal touches such as fresh flowers in the bedroom and in the dining area are charming. In addition, he left us chocolates in our bedroom. He photographs his guests when they leave which is a very nice touch. It was fascinating to talk to him about his family history too with which I am like-minded. He recommended excellent places to visit, namely the local hotel (excellent value) for supper, and also the Purple Possum cafe which is winning national awards. Yes this stay was really outstanding in beautiful Tasmania.
