We stayed two nights in a very neat and clean two bedroom unit. Unit 13 was very large and comfortable. The cottage has all the usual amenities for an extended stay, and is only two minutes from town. Our host Bruce was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He is extremely knowledgeable about the sounding area and made our stay one the remember. The three alpacas that live at the cottages were interesting and made you feel like you were in the country. Thank you Bruce.

The units are very eighties, but have everything you could need. New driveways and lawns were underway when we were there and the unit was a bit grotty with dust, presumably just due to the earthworks outside. Back sliding door latch didn’t work from inside. Overall it was quite okay but perhaps priced a tad high for what it is - but that’s St Helens these days.

Avoid at all costs! Management is very unprofessional and trying to charge extras for everything. Please do not waste your money here. 1. Management approached me in early morning to ask for extra money for guest 2. Houses are very out-dated and cold. Houses are built very cheap and don't hold the temperature in 3. Location is very noisy, right next to busy road. Traffic with loud trucks start going past at 6am and because houses are of poor quality the sounds goes right through them 4. Owner makes you feel very unwelcome. This is the worst accommodation experience I have ever had, and I have been to lots and lots of hotels. If you are in St Helens please do not come here if you want a good experience there are lots of other options.

If you need a place to stay these self-contained units have all you should need, including a washing machine for longer stays. They are comfortable and clean. The area is not central but very quiet and offers lovely views. Only a short drive to Binalong

After a long drive to St Helens we were lucky to find a self contained unit for an overnighter (Sunday 15 March 2020). Very friendly and helpful host both over the phone and in person. Was shown and given unit 8. Had everything hubby and I needed. Unit was clean, spacious and self contained. The only slight issue, which may affect some guests but wasn't an issue for us, is the wooden internal door that is connected to Reception area but the door can bolted from inside the unit. Overall, very happy with our stay and will return when we visit St Helens again.
