Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our stay was cozy, comfy, and quiet. The hosts were very accomodating and really helpful. It has an old worldly charm to it, and is close to everything you need. My son who is 6.3 had to bend down to get under the doorways, so that made it entertaining.🤣

Lovely place, spotless, comfortable, easy to find and get into. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and will be rebooking every time we have work in Sorell. Highly recommend this for the place and the little extras, a lovely note that I couldnt respond to as I had no pen. Thank you for lovely accommodation.

This place was a wonderful find. We were looking to find somewhere close to the Airport as we had an early start the next day - it was perfect. We had up upstairs apartment, and some people may find the stairs a bit of a challenge - they were very steep. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, and the welcome note from the owners was a lovely touch. We ate at a local Indian restaurant that night, which was also excellent. We would happily stay there again. Thank you.

Our stay was outstanding from my first contact to our welcome note and then our final good bye five days later. Our accommodation was very comfortable with furnishing appropriate to the era. The kitchen had all that we required. A welcome basket was appreciated as was the text from Lynn offering to do our washing. It is within an easy walk to the local hotel and cafes. Off street parking is available and it has lovely grounds. A book exchange set up in the garden was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend this site.

What a great find. Close to the airport for a late evening arrival. The new owners have got things down pat. Cleanliness is A1. Authenticity is perfect. Continental breakfast provisions spot n. We stayed in a loft. We knew about the steep stairs and we’re ok with them. Great place for a couple of nights. Walk around Sorell, take a drive to Lewisham and Dodges Ferry, also the Tasmania Golf Club. Many thanks to Terry and Lyn.

Everything was perfect. They were very fast and helpful when I sent enquiries by emails, and the garden cottage I booked was lovely. Very cosy, cute and comfortable. And they had a lovely welcome basket which I felt was so thoughtful. It was close to the airport, and very peaceful. I will definitely book again.

Arriving in Tassie after a long journey, nothing could have compared to the beautiful room at Sorell Barracks. Made full use of the spa bath and jets, and the bed was so very comfortable! It had everything we needed and more - plus a LOVELY wide sink top and mirror for us females. Terry was wonderful, and made booking the stay a pleasure. Would 100 per cent recommend for anyone!

Only stayed 1 night here but could easily have stayed longer. Lovely place, beautifully done out, breakfast basket with a jug of milk and carafe of juice in the fridge, comfy beds, everything clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here one night, close to the airport (10) kms. Takes about 30 mins, in peak hour & roadworks. We had room B5, small cottage, however all worked well, nice bathroom, very comfortable bed, great breakfast basket. The basket contained cereals, fruit, bread for toasting, crumpets, blue berries, butter, biscuits & chocolates, juice & milk in the fridge The room had 2 heaters & electric blankets on the bed just incase you got really. We will stay here again, next time in Hobart
