Detailed Reviews
The location of Sheer Pleasure was spectacular with wonderful view of the Duck River. Breakfast provisions were much appreciated and because of lack of kitchen sink, a box was provided for dirty dishes.
However we found the property to be not cosy - there are big expanses of glass which do not help, and the fire in the living area not really adequate.
The bed was comfy with an electric blanket which was appreciated, but we didn't have the bedroom heater on earlier enough as it wasn't instant heating and we were cold getting into bed. The bedroom tv was pixallated and not worth watching.
The bathroom was new however floor became quite wet and slippery so be careful after showering.
In the spring and summer this would be the spot - but Tasmania even in autumn is another story with cold nights.

We traveled with another couple and booked a 1 bedroom unit and a studio. The views were stunning from the veranda and inside the units. The units were spotless and the beds comfortable, we had everything we needed, and if we did need something Heather was more than happy to supply it. We had a lovely breakfast supplied of muesli, porridge, yoghurt, milk, bread, butter and spreads. We had great communication from Heather and she was so helpful when we had to cancel and rebook because of lockdown. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and I can’t wait to go back.

Cannot rate this accommodation highly enough. Every detail is just beautiful and a pure “wow” moment from the time you walk in the door. Only sorry that we were not able to arrive earlier to enjoy more time. The view is stunning. Highest quality provisions for breakfast and complimentary bottle of Tasmanian wine completed a perfect weekend away.

Great outlook, clean and very pretty, however l thought it was a little sterile and not the type of accommodation l would go back too. We had requested the use of the BBQ, but the implements were kept by the owners, who you needed to contact should you require anything. We didn't have a sink, so you had to put your dishes in a bucket and leave them outside and a "fairy" would do them each day and leave them back in your room, We were offered wine & cheese on arrival however they didn't end up getting to our apartment

Sheer Pleasure is located on a hill overlooking Smithton and the waterfront. It has magnificent views, especially at sunset. The studio apartment had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Plenty of continental breakfast provisions were provided with a grand selection of teas and a coffee pod machine. Bed was super cosy. Bathroom had a heated towel rail. Room had adequate heating and flat screen tv.Hosts David and Heather are lovely and friendly and have local knowledge of where to eat etc. Would highly recommend this accommodation for couples.

Two modern serviced apartments on a hillside with spectacular views across Smithton and the Duck river estuary. Ours was the suite, with two rooms joined by a corridor off which was the bathroom. All have glass walls or sliding doors, so the assiduous use of the blinds is necessary to preserve some privacy. There's a well equipped kitchenette, but no sink; the hosts provide a daily dishwasher service. The selection of breakfast items is well chosen. It's all immaculately kept.

This is an exceptional property with fantastic hosts.
Heather and David were knowledgeable about their local area with all questions answered before we even arrived.
This is a beautiful private retreat with spectacular views both day and night.
Access to town centre is a very short drive. If walking you will need to be able to climb a steep driveway.
We booked both the apartment and studio room as travelling with another couple.
We wish we could stay longer.
If you are in Smithton definitely book a couple of nights.

We will be back!
The view is simply stunning and had me at hello, we stayed in room B
The room is beautifully presented and clean.
It's very quiet, if relaxation is what you need then this is the place to stay in Smithton.
The hosts quickly responded to any enquiries we had.

Perfect luxurious home away from home. Beautifully styled & equipped - from the comfy bed, super rain head shower, new flat screen smart TV, continental breakfast supplies to the amazing views overlooking the town. Superb ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us. Peaceful & tranquil - with great hosts. David & Heather were very welcoming & friendly.
