Unexpected gem ! We booked at the last minute into a glamping bell tent and have been blown away with how great it is here !
The tents themselves are 5 star luxury , even a lounge is included . Outside there is a secluded deck with a potbelly fire and deck chairs , perfect for a glass of wine whilst listening to the beach in the background . Oh yes , an amazing beach is only a few minutes walk away!
Amenities are spotless and we were so impressed with the inclusion of a cheese knife and wine glasses as well as shampoo etc .

Our annual fishing trip is over for another year. The greeting was as warm as it always is and we will look forward to staying again next year. We stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin - master, climb up and bunk beds were perfect for 3 old fishermen. The front balcony was a perfect platform to observe the various bird and wallaby visitors. A well equipped kitchen had everything we needed and the hot plate bbq got a workout. The laundry is centrally located and its a short walk to the surf beach through the bush. Quiet at night with just the sound of the surf occasionally in the distance. Always friendly and helpful service. Thanks folks

My husband and I stayed with our two children in a 2 bedroom safari tent. Exceptionally clean. And was so pleased to see protectors on the pillows. Everything provided kitchen and bathroom wise. The bathroom was bigger than ours at home! The safari tent had a heat pump, and electric blankets on all the beds. Each bunk bed had it's own lamp, which was great. Firepot outside which was great for roasting marshmallows. The staff were lovely and very friendly. We stayed for one night. If staying for a longer period, we would have chosen a deluxe safari tent, as that has indoor and outdoor dining. Whereas the family safari tent has outdoor only. We went for a walk and saw the bell tents (from the outside), and they looked a nice setup. We also peeked at the shared amenities - individual shower rooms, and these also appeared spotless. We will be back!

One of the best camping grounds in Tasmania. Obviously planned to meet campers needs with excellent toilet & shower facilities in separate ensuite style cabins. Hot showers timed for 5 minutes (plenty of time) large sites, a fully equipped camp kitchen and fire pits provided if you buy the wood for them. Couldn't recommend this place more highly with its location near a beautiful sandy beach and plenty of other tourist attractions. Well done Matthew for ticking all the boxes.

While the greeting is always friendly and informative the facilities continue to amaze us. Everything you need is available. This time we booked the 3 bedroom deluxe safari tent for the 3 of us. The outdoor kitchen area has the electric hotplate and we set up the induction unit alongside it. Inside there is the microwave, toaster, pod coffee machine full sized fridge and electric jug. Each bed has an electric blanket, there is a heater and a reverse cycle a/c unit. There is a dining table inside along with a table on the outdoor deck which is ideal for al fresco dining and bird watching. The camp also has a well equipped share kitchen, indoor and outdoor dish washing areas. There are also multiple shared glamping dining room tents, a shower block and a laundromat. The beach is just a short walk away. We love our annual trips and will be back hopefully in late November because we enjoy staying here so much. Well done Louise and Kevin and save us some fish.

The Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park is among the best we have known and stayed at. So much so, we revisit each year and will continue to do so. Love it so much that 2 weeks usually turns into several weeks. Meticulous facilities, beautifully maintained park, abundant wildlife, private access to a magnificent beach. And the owner (Matt) is the perfect host , very approachable and accommodating.
Have stayed in the safari clamping tent and also in our caravan in the park. Thank you Matt for everything that you do that makes this place so special.

On arrival, we were impressed. Mr T is not a camping/glamping style of person, especially without his own bathroom, however, even he was impressed with the set up and cleanliness. The bell tents were immaculate and had everything you wanted.
Heating/cooling, comfortable beds, fridge, micro, TV, couch, seating, inside and out, lighting inside and out, a coffee pod machine, cutlery, crockery AND AN OUTDOOR FIRE.
This made Mr T love it I think.
We cooked using the BBQ at the camp kitchen, and sat and played games until we headed over to our fire to enjoy a few drinks. It was fab.
A bit disappointed that firewood wasn't supplied, however, at $5 for a big bag we quickly got over it.
Fabulous surroundings and a secluded beach.
We will be back for longer next time.
PS Showers and toilet cleanliness was above average I feel, and I am a camper.

This park is the most modern I’ve seen. Besides the campsites for our vans being flat and perfect, the ablution block has automatic lights, button controlled showers and everyone is encouraged to mop the floor after a shower and also make sure the toilet is left clean. How I wish all parks would have the same standards!

We arrived at 6:00 p.m. after a long drive from Hobart stopping many times on the way to look at the east coast beauty. We were greeted by Matthew the owner who was very friendly and generous with his time. We hadn't booked ahead and it was no trouble for him to get a glamping tent ready for us. The accommodation was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed we had a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back. Matthew was an amazing host and is doing everything right to make you feel very welcome
