Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here as it’s pet friendly. Port Sorell council are very strict on having your fur babies on a lead however there is a lead free area nearby. This caravan park is a bit tired but it was quite & clean. You are right on the water and there are wallabies that visit at night. Camp sites are a great size.

I really loved how friendly & accommodating was the guy who waited up late for us to check in & helpful. We had all on board so didn’t really need toilets etc yet they are basic. It was busy & not a lot else around yet you are a skip & jump to the shoreline, gorgeous foggy morning walk, out near the jetty, boat ramp & wandered along peacefully. There were loads of kids riding bikes & a playground, close enough to get from a late flight pick up Motorhome & off up the coast.
Affordable & lovely helpful service.

Basic Cabin suitable for family - double bed and two bunk beds. Close to beach and amenities. Nice area to get away from it all and have a break. Seems to have plenty of powered and unpowered sites for caravans and motorhomes. Suggest booking well in advance for school holidays.

Family were thrown off the site because they were wary of a bloke who liked watching kids at the playground. Instead of asking the strange man to move his caravan to another site, they were asked to leave the site for complaining…..with their kids…. At Easter!!!

I have no complaints about this park, I just think that our time was a little less positive than some others.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and helpful.
The toilet/shower block we had near us was half public, was average build quality however I will say it was clean and tidy and although timed it was a good shower.
Just with so many sites I think upkeep of them is difficult, so ours was fairly sandy and dusty as a lit of the grass has been stripped and there was a few bits of large rubbish around it. Also we were no where near any camp kitchen, assuming there was one somewhere away away.
Nothing wrong with the park but nothing to write homes a bout.
Location is a bonus, beautiful being so close to the beach/river inlet

Camped in Port Sorell Lions Caravan Park in our motor home. Was a very busy weekend as was the last weekend of school holidays here in Tasmania. People very friendly and amentities were good and clean. Except the lock was broken on the shower door. Other campers very friendly, even gave us their bait for fishing.

fantastic set up on very spacious lawn area for the rv, clean amenities and a great camp kitchen and play area. This is our second visit and glad to be a return guest.
During winter the price was very affordable and the staff very accommodating. And a variety of wildlife.

We had a spot right beside the beach in the main park. Great location, Toilets in our area very old but ok. Showers in amenities building were great. Would like to camp over in the esplanade next time, that loks an awesome spot

My second stay at this dog friendly caravan park. Large grassed sites, some located amidstt the local natural bush areas. Short walk to beach. Large clean and well equipped camp kitchen, could do with some heating for this time of year. Amenities and laundry clean. Caretakers very friendly and helpful. Close proximity to shopping centre and bowls club
I was travelling with members of a local caravan and campers club, couple of who stayed in a cabin. They reported this was also of a high standard.

This park is run (at the moment) by the local Lions Club. They do a great job with an onsite caretaker. We were given a huge grassed spot at one end of the park and we had almost the whole area to ourselves. Amenities were clean and tidy.

Sorry, can't help with this one as we didn't have any pets with us. Best to just give them a quick call. Very nice to deal with.
