Friendly helpful staff , clean , comfortable cottage. Best view from our bedroom and spa ever ! Lots of birds . Would highly recommend. Restaurant was unfortunately disappointing, food dry , pork belly had soft gooey “crackling “, scallops were very poor . I would recommend cooking your own food in the beautiful cottage

We stayed two nights in a spa chalet. Overall a lovely experience - comfortable bed, great amenities right there in your cabin (washing machine/dryer/dishwasher/oven). Absolutely beautiful location - main bedroom was right by the water. A beautiful sight to wake up to each morning. A few things of note - Water - one of the first things they tell you on arrival is that the water has been tested and is safe to drink. It has a bit of a funny smell and tastes like it has come out of a garden hose. This also gave the bathroom a bit of a smell too. Full kitchen but lacking basics - we planned to cook on our first night as the restaurant was closed (a Monday night) and there are limited options nearby. No olive oil put a dampener on this one, especially since the pans are not non-stick. There’s plenty of pans/plates/etc but no things like olive oil or paper towel. There’s a coffee plunger which is nice, so don’t forget some ground coffee beans. Limited equipment - we planned to play some tennis before checking out. I suppose everyone else has been inspired by the Australian open too, because we were told they had some rackets but that the only balls had already been loaned out and not returned, and we were the second people to ask that morning! No one on the courts so the balls were clearly not being used. A shame that they don’t have more equipment, or follow up on loaned equipment so everyone else can have a turn! Power points - lack of power points beside the bed, difficult to charge your device at the bedside overnight. Port Arthur Historic Site track - the Historic Site end is currently barricaded off. There’s a small sign at the start of the track that states they want everyone to check in via the visitors centre but it didn’t explicitly state that the track is closed. We walked the 20 mins there, then had to rush back and drive so as to not miss our tour booking. Overall a lovely place to stay. Lots of adorable pademelons around, too. They must have been wandering around at night outside our cabin because our sensor light kept going off all night!

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. Cabins were great with kitchen & laundry facilities, and for 2 couples (had 2 bathrooms) were perfect. Lovely serene place to stay. The staff member on the front desk was very friendly & helpful.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous night at Stewart’s Bay lodge with other members of our family. Our kids had already booked cabins when we decided to join them for NewYears Eve. Thanks to the flexibility and professionalism of the manager, we were able to book a spa deluxe cabin at Late notice . And all our cabins were close together which we really appreciated the thought involved in allocating our late booking. Our cabin with bush setting was large with great living area and bathroom, high ceilings, comfortable bed and fabulous deck which received all day sun. We did not have water views as some cabins did but we also did not receive the cold breezes off the sea as they did. We all ate in the restaurant and were very impressed with the quality and size portions and the friendliness and attention of the waiting staff . Only a short walk to one of Tassies best family beaches, this is really special accommodation to savour, especially for families. We will return
