Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Calming, is how I would describe it, Beautiful gardens, with lovely bird (and farm animal) noises, great bed/pillows, a new Daikan AC, very well appointed. My only disappointment, was that we only booked one night, would love to go back and spend a few there, doing not much.

We spent one night in this beautifully located cottage, close to Mt Field National Park. The grounds that the cottage are located in, are just stunning, set amongst rolling hills in a very picturesque rural location. The host was very welcoming and the cottage- cosy and comfortable, perfectly suiting the country ambience. The cottage has everything you need to cook an evening meal and have a decent coffee in the morning. The little local extras were a treat too. The gardens of the property are really the star of this accommodation, with beautifully landscaped garden rooms with quirky and unique sculptures recycled from old bits of machinery. Sitting out on the verandah, looking at the night settle in and hearing the cockatoos was just one of the nicest experiences we had in Tasmania. It was better than any 5 star hotel!

Review for Rangers Cottage - March 2019 The cabin is set on a lovely rural property, amid lovely gardens, at a reasonable distance from the owners house. The quiet country ambience is wonderful. We sat on the verandah in the afternoon, watching the working dog bring home the flock of sheep. The views out over the property are gorgeous, we just didn't want to leave. Everything we could possibly need had been supplied, and Annette is a most gracious host. We loved every moment of our stay, and we will thoroughly recommend Duffys to everyone.

Spent 3 nights in the Rangers Cottage recently and really enjoyed it. It's situated on a farm/land, but quite close to the town, so easy to get everywhere. Mt Field National Park is a short 10-15 minute drive down the road. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with some nice extras like locally made jam and eggs from the farm, and a collection of DVD's. Also had a fully equipped kitchen and laundry (which was useful). The weather wasn't the best at times, but that let us appreciate the cosy cottage and fireplace. The couch was very comfortable (quite good for a nap). The hosts were helpful and friendly (we only really saw them a couple of times, but that was fine by us). Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all for a few days.

We were travelling around Tassie and booked a night at Duffy's Country accommodation, the cottage we stayed in had views over the the beautiful country side, in the morning the foggy mist added to a most enjoyable stay, the inside was set out beautifully with sufficient amenities, at night an old Austin down the paddock had the head lights attached to solar and lit up over night, this is a place that you wind down with great ease, Thanks for an enjoyable stay - Arthur & Pam - Berwick, Victoria
