My partner and I experienced, over 2 nights, a rugged wilderness and solitude that allowed us to fully rest and feel replenished. Full relaxation is possible at this lodge as it affords degrees of comfort in so many ways. The beds and linen are first class, while the views from the bedroom and verandah further extend this environment of ruggedness and natural beauty. The ambience inside the dining/lounge area was warm, inviting and, in especial, private and nurturing. The food happily extended this comfort metaphor further with hearty breakfasts, elegant dinners and sublime treats throughout the day. Our hosts were forever attentive in their attention to our ongoing unwinding and relaxation.

How can I begin to review such a wonderful, fun, relaxing and well appointed accommodation? I had booked a trip for my husband's 60th birthday and the amazing owners and staff of the Blue Lake Lodge went well beyond our expectations to make this birthday one we will never forget. The perfect setting, comfortable bed, warm welcome, beautiful meals, lovely wines and personal attention...and most of all the fantastic generosity of the host's and staff kind nature just cannot be adequately captured in words. This is a place not to be missed if you're looking to stay in the area. Thank you Janina and Sonia for making this weekend one of the most special we have had in a very long time!!

A boutique hotel with all meals included. Situated over the lake with amazing beds this place is awesome to just relax and unwind. Some amazing Tasmanian produce for dinner and lunch. Located in the middle of the island. Well worth a 2 night visit. Feed the wallabies in the afternoon. Lots of fun

We had a group of 3 couples travelling through Tasmania and booked this accomodation between Strahan & Freychinet. The location, food, rooms and hospitality were simply outstanding!!! We could not have wished for more. It doesn’t get too much better than this.

My Partner and I first stayed two years ago around the same time as now when visiting family in Tasmania, Upon arrival, we were treated like VIP, The service and personal touches by our Host Rob; Created a tailored experience for us, leaving us standing in the snow with the flood lights on, laughing in some Disney/Fantasy land, with the Wallabies at their Bar (Feeding Area next to the lodging) watching us throw snow balls at each other on the Deck. Coming from Sydney and frequenting Melbourne Often for business trips, we have frequented some of the best restaurants in both cities. Having Said that, the Food is honestly some of the best restaurant quality food we've ever had prepared by the on-site team, expertly paired with wine and flavours. We left our first trip full of amazing memories and photos that will no doubt last a life time for both of us. On our second trip, we specifically came to Tasmania just to stay again at the Lodge to relax. The Owners John and Jeana were there with Rob doing some general management and operational checks on our arrival. Just like family, we were welcomed back and both my partner and I were made to feel at home. Immediately were picked up where we left off last time, staying up well into the night sharing stories and a meal with the team, We have now left with a new family at The Blue Lake Lodge. The Wealth of life experience, culinary skill and professionalism leaves The blue Lake Lodge our Destination to go every time we want a Trip to Tasmania. We are looking forward to our next trip back even now and can't wait to see what they do with the Lodge in the future. If you are looking for a surreal, out of this world break from the busy life of the city, this is the place to go. To Rob, John & Jeana, We can't thank you enough for the amazing experience, You are what makes the Blue Lake Lodge an experience that is incomparable.

Beautiful spot right on the lake and completely secluded. Comfortable room. Rob was a great host and very talented in the kitchen. I even got some fishing in and managed to bag 2 small brown trout. Thanks for looking after us - we’ll be back!

A real surprise at the end of a long country driveway, this three apartment retreat on the edge of Arthurs Lake offers excellent accommodation, food and hospitality. The rooms are comfortable with a large king size bed, ensuite with a generous supply of towels and toiletries. We had dinner cooked for us and it was fantastic. There is a large communal lounge and dining area with an open fire. Lots of wildlife. A great remote experience.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at the Lodge. The location is stunning, looking straight out onto Lake Arthur and with wildlife right on the doorstep. The Lodge itself is comfortable, clean and well laid out. It worked well having our own room with ensuite and then enjoying the communal living and dining area with other guests, but it would also be very nice to hire out the entire place if you had a bigger group. Rob and John were accomodating hosts, cooked a delicious meal for us and the other guests, and had a nice chat with us all over a glass of wine after dinner.

Spent 2 nights at this superb lodge on the beautiful Arthur's Lake in the Central Highlands. The Lodge is positioned at the top of a rocky slope with brilliant views over the lake. The light here changes constantly and makes for some beautiful photography. We were lucky enough to watch the Aurora Australis doing it's thing over the far side of the lake, 5 minutes after we'd watched a platypus, zooming up and down in the water just in front of us..who cares that we didn't catch a trout! We did some short bush walks on the property but just the shoreline in front of the Lodge is a great spot to enjoy the Lake. There's a fire pit down there too, but it was a bit nippy for us to enjoy that. We spent a morning at the fascinating Waddamana Power Station Museum which is easy to get to from the Lodge. King rooms are beautifully appointed and well heated Rob was a very accommodating host and provided excellent food and quality wines. This place is true Central Tasmania, bush, lakes and wallabies everywhere!
