Great view, great food, and eventually great service
Bit of a false start, but extensive menu, reasonably priced and well presented. We had the seafood crowded, fish and chips, cheeseburger and prawn & chorizo. Thank you for a memorable lunch
We'll be back especially the wallaby rissoles and the schnitzel.
Cheers

Stopped in for lunch, greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. Ordered lamb shank for me and my partner ordered steak, chips and salad, together with a couple of drinks. Food was pleasant enough, nothing special. The biggest shock came when I paid the bill $101 for 2 meals and 2 drinks, wow.
Been once, no need to return.

Love eating at this place. Beautiful food, great service. However today after a 40klm drive for lunch arrived to find the area had lost power. This is of course not the fault of the hotel, and far more damaging for the hotel than for us, however it would be great if they had a back up plan in place for such times. Why no generator? Why no BBQ? Why no cold lunch offerings such as Ploughman's Lunch or salads? Especially as we were told that 60 people had booked for lunch. As phone numbers are required when booking, why no attempt at notification? Sadly we had to travel to Derwent Bridge for a lesser experience. We will be back to the Great Lake Hotel, but today could have been handled better.

This was a great place to stay for a couple of nights on our trip around tas. Units new and well equipped. Bed super comfortable and place spotless. Very quiet. Staff friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend restaurant..much better than
your regular pub food. Dining area overlooks lake where you can enjoy the view and excellent food. Highly recommend.

This is a very good hotel to stay at, it’s very clean, large rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Great view over the lake. Miena is a fishing village, not close to anything.
Also the food was excellent in the bar. Large serves of very tasty food.

I had heard a lot of good things about this venue and they all rang true. We had lunch and our food was excellent, the service attentive and engaged with each customer. Nothing was too much trouble. Lunch with a view over the Great Lake and snug against the elements.

We stayed here overnight including drinks and dinner at the restaurant. Fast easy check-in, comfortable room and ample parking, good prices for drinks and dinner was excellent.
Part of the joy of staying at a place like this is meeting the locals - thanks Ben for the trout, loved talking to you Toni and Phil.
And staff behind the bar and in the restaurant - thanks Nicki and Deirdre.
Highly recommend

New owners have spruced up the rooms and refurbished the pub and restaurant. New chef and menu and well-staffed. Our room was a small twin room with the basics and ensuite. New beds and linen made it very comfortable. The food and service were great.
