We stayed in a newly renovated room. Everything was new, matched and modern and exceptionally nice. The bedroom and bathroom were both a good size. We were provided with a breakfast basket even though we did not ask for it. Meals in the restaurant were a good size. The wifi was flaky on a windy night.

Superb and comfortable place to stay and so many interesting people to talk to who are very helpful with local information or guidance on the area. Great place to stay when fishing and exploring the Central Highlands when fishing for Trout of which there are a 1000 lakes to locate and explore. This motel has altered somewhat over the years. The Chesterfield style couches have been gone for some time, but it retains the fishing lodge ambience, with trout prints and wall fixtures. Recent improvements to the rooms include new A/C split units (quiet and very effective) and the bathrooms have been redone. The food is standard pub fare and good, although...

The lodge is very beautiful over looking Great Lake. It is clean, bed is made from solid wood, and mattress was so comfortable. Towel and face towel provided. Toilet is clean. Free wifi!! The food in the cafe was superb. Pizza was normal. The host, Helen was very friendly and hardworking. I truly recommend this place to have a rest...

Excellent food and atmosphere. We stopped in at the opening of trout season amd kicked the night off with watching the central highlands lodge pet deer whom roam right out the front door! Great fresh meals at great prices.

We drove two hours to checkout the Great Lakes area especially Miena. Stopped at the Great Lakes lodge for lunch as the pub was unfriendly and walked into the dining area at the lodge that was open only to feel that we had walked into a private dining area as the staff were frosty and unfriendly. We did order food...

Had the pleasure of taking my mum here for Mothers Day Lunch. A large double sided wood heater created a cosy atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and there were ample choices on the menu. Our meals were wonderful and not over priced as can happen in the more remote areas. A very enjoyable experience. Will definitely return for an overnight...

Out for a day trip from Launceston. Weather turned very cold and windy. We stopped for lunch and were greeted by a lovely log fire in the bar. The bar and lounge was very comfortable and service pleasant. We ordered a steak sandwich and a toasted sandwich with came with fries. There was only one person cooking so lunch took...
