We found Kittawa Lodge to be the perfect private retreat. Aaron and Nick have a detailed “hands on” approach to arrival, service and authentic experiences; matched with a “hands off” approach to intrusion. You will never have to ask for anything (although you can because the service is personal); it simply arrives. This seamless satisfaction leaves you completely relaxed to enjoy personal time and the wilds of beautiful King Island. Aaron and Nick reflect their own personal commitment to the unique positioning of a Kittawa wilderness experience. They have taken a careful and caring approach to landscape and the impacts of establishing the lodge. There is a peaceful understanding between the guest and the wildlife in their coastal refuge. Your memories of special moments combine quietly with the overall sense of time well spent. There is nothing wanting in the list of guest expectations. From the front gate arrival until your last aperitif, you are left feeling fulfilled and selfishly wanting more. A unique and outstanding luxurious retreat. …

It is so humbling and gratifying to read of your experience, but more importantly for us, the lingering feeling you have when you remember your Kittawa Lodge experience. We stayed one week at Kittawa and had a wonderful time. It has a beautiful setting and is very private, with birdlife and wallabies just outside the glass. Aaron and Nick are excellent hosts, being attentive but also respectful of our privacy. They came in each day whilst we were out to do rooms and leave food prepared for meals, plus a picnic lunch if we were away at lunchtime. On returning back to the lodge there were little "treats" which were different each day. Produce for meals was seasonable and very fresh, with clear directions for preparations. We particularly enjoyed this concept. The lodge was spacious, tasteful, and well designed and equipped. We had not visited King Island before, but were struck by its natural beauty, history, wildlife, friendliness, and solitude. We hired a 4WD and accessed many parts of the island and we are pleased we did. Highly recommended, it was an enjoyable and restful week.…

From the moment you enter the world of Kittawa breathing becomes easier; wonder and awe of nature's wild beauty fuses with the warm hospitality of Nick and Aaron who seamlessly anticipate your needs and shape a unique King Island experience perfectly in tune with you. Innate and authentically passionate about the produce and wines of Tasmania, the food put in front of us was outstandingly delicious and as much as possible locally sourced. With an incredible attention to detail, Aaron and Nick have created a place of harmony, design and art made by makers and artists. Love, love, love ... we will be back.

Our stay at Kittawa was wonderful, Nick and Aaron were so attentive to detail, with nothing too much trouble, from recommending wine, to changing our car tyre while we had massages! The meals prepared were lovely, and Aaron made us a picnic lunch each day to take on our jaunts around the island. The lodge was beautiful and prepared again for us each day, with a welcome home snack, and the martini’s cooling in the fridge. I could not recommend Kittawa more highly, it was relaxing and indulgent, with lovely touches to make everything perfect.

A truly luxurious and romantic stay for my husband and I. We relaxed, slept in, read books, and ate healthy, delicious chef meals. We explored, drove the extent of King Island, sampled the local produce, extended our historical knowledge, made friends with the local wallabies and took a zillion photos. What more could you want?

A perfect place to escape with your partner and reconnect with each other and nature. Floor to ceiling windows give you the most beautiful views; I just loved watching the wallabies hop past and nibble on the bushes. Only way this was made better was when watching from a toasty bath. Aaron & Nick are amazing hosts. They welcomed us like friends and it was wonderful getting to interact with them. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 course dinner, picnic lunch and cook it yourself dinner. Super cosy, just loved our time here.

How can you review the incredible Kittawa Lodge. I have thought about this for the past week and I am still lost for words! We recently stayed at the amazing Kittawa Lodge for 5 nights to elope! From the moment we drove onto the property you feel relaxed and just know that you will have the most amazing stay. The Kittawa team were absolutely outstanding from the moment we enquired about eloping and having our honeymoon at Kittawa. The service from the day of our booking to our departure was impeccable. It’s not the big things that make Kittawa so incredible, it’s all the small things that Aaron, Nick and the rest of the Kittawa team do that make your stay something you will never forget! You are treated like royalty but made to feel like family! We have stay at many luxury hotels within Australia and abroad but the standard at Kittawa is well and truly above them all. There is nothing we could fault at Kittawa and I would have to say the only down side is leaving! …

Kittawa Lodge compliments King Island perfectly. They sit together- each adding something unique to what the other has to offer. Nick and Aaron have established a haven that is considered and thoughtful. Kittawa is well designed to take advantage of the changing sea landscape before you. Everything you need and more, is provided and wonderfully presented. The fresh locally sourced food- delivered each day, was especially appreciated. Thank you to Nick and Aaron and their industrious team. Shona
