Right opposite the beach, the cottages are in an excellent location and give a lovely view through the well maintained garden to the waters of the bay. Peaceful and quiet, only half an hour from the airport and about twenty minutes to the eateries of Currie.
Everything you could need for a comfortable stay is provided, a newly updated kitchen with good appliances and all the usual necessities as well as all the kitchen gadgets you might need.
Spotlessly clean and well maintained, we felt right at home. There's lots of entertainment extras for guests too, a pool table, bikes, fishing gear, board games, books and DVDs.
Bob and Angie are friendly and thoughtful hosts who gave us a warm welcome and lots of information about the island's attractions. Some added delights, local cheese and port, also greeted us in the cottage.
We enjoyed our stay enormously.

If your up for a relaxing time with everything you could want in a cottage this is the place for you.

When it says self contained it means it. Everything from a fully functioning stove with all the cooking utensils you need including a potatoes masher.

We came for the weekend to enjoy the running, cheese and hospitality and it was amazing.

Bob and Angie have done a great job with the cottages and we felt very well looked after.

Also the extras like port and cheese on arrival as complimentary and access to a guest laundry which had everything you need just made life easy.

We have booked again for next year

This place is the ideal getaway if you want to escape from the hectic life in a metropolis. It is right on the beachfront on the extremely laid-back East Coast of (also otherwise not overly busy) King Island. Our unit was nicely decorated with a maritime theme and had a very cozy flair.

The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and provided a “welcome kit”, consisting of port, chocolates, cheese and crackers. A satellite TV and DVD player with a large selection of movies and documentaries are there for your entertainment.

Just as described in the promo, a lovely place to stay. Hosts are most accommodating. Nice touches like some little goodies left in your fridge or in the living room, or even offerings from their little garden with seasonal fare. Driving anywhere is not too far with your choice of hire vehicle. Take it slowly, don't rush. Highly recommended if you want a cool place away from mainland Australia in the hotter months. You can watch the antics of the local Blue Wren on the front lawn all day. Lowers the blood pressure and anxiety. Short flight from Melbourne.

We've just spent four nights in Blue Wren cottage. We enjoyed our time and found many unexpected things available in the cottage. There were four ways to make coffee - instant, a pod machine with some pods supplied and including an efficient milk frothing machine as well as a plunger and ground coffee in fridge. There was complimentary cheese in the fridge and a little port and a few chocolates too. There was expected towels, facewashers, soap. I needed a biro - found one. Good supply of cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs etc, toaster, kettle, some pantry basics like salt, pepper, tomato sauce, a small UHT milk and a few other items we did not use. Oven and microwave. There were pots, dishes and other kitchen equipment in cupboard that we didn't use as we ate out most evenings. Overall I was impressed with what I found there. Heating was good, TV reception too via Vast a compost tin with offer to empty if needed. I'm sure there were other things that I'm not recalling. Very impressed and if we happen to make it back to the Island one day I would certainly consider a revisit, although we had an almost half hour drive to get to Currie where most eateries were.

Stayed in the cottages for 3 nights. Great location opposite beach, esp with the surf running! Need to drive 20 mins into Currie for food but location offsets this. Need a hire car. Good access to drives around Island.

One of the most hospitable accommodation providers I have come across. Bob and Angie made sure we had everything we needed including fishing rods tackle box and even bait in the freezer. They looked after the crays we ordered in their freezer for a couple of days too! We loved the fire pit in the evenings sitting on the porch watching the ocean and the stars were incredible. Bob had so much knowledge of local sights, fishing spots and Ang had fresh cakes for the weekend Saturday market. Back to the fire pit Bob supplied us with plenty of wood every day, we would come back and there was always a fresh lot waiting. The entire experience from booking and information prior to arrival to an amazingly sparkling clean cottage with fresh provisions. A 5 star service we will return.

The cottage was clean, very neat & tidy & comfortable. Bob & Ange went above expectations with their little touches (soaps, cling wrap, salt & pepper, oils, cooking equipment & BBQ needs…) & also left us some King Island cheese & port. The laundry was well stocked & included a washing machine & dryer. As it was our 30th wedding anniversary, they even left us some sparkling wine & strawberries. We definitely would stay again.

Fell in love with this cottage the moment we arrived and received the key from our wonderful host! The welcoming gift of chocolates, cheese, pudding and port was such a thoughtful touch. King size bed was SO comfortable! Little touches everywhere and everything you need in the condiment and cooking area, flasks and travel mug if wishing to travel and tour, lovely handmade soaps, books and more. Maps and inside information on the Island activities and dining.
The accommodation has a dining room full of games, dvds, pool table, darts and fishing gear for guests to use.
View to the beach from outside table complete with fairy wrens for company. Short walk to beach and pier.
Absolutely loved our stay here and we will return!

We were made to feel so welcome. The kitchen was well equipped and we found delicious King Island Cheese, chocolates and sherry waiting for us. The cottage is a retro delight, it was exceptionally clean and the gardens well maintained. Our hosts Bob and Ange went above and beyond during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Naracoopa is a fabulous spot to relax and enjoy the serenity.
