Stayed two nights during our tour of Tasmania and were impressed with the overall quality of the property. The room and furnishings are classy and elegant whilst affording comfort and convenience. We liked the heated floor options but did not get to test them due to the warmer weather. Our hosts Lyn and Russell were very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and the included cooked or continental breakfast options were awesome.

This is classed as a luxury suite. Yes the room was very large and the bathroom was huge with under floor heating. The suites are situated overlooking the ocean but are on the main road and the traffic can be quite noisy. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of blankets and pillows provided. The breakfast was lovely and presented very nicely by the hostesses. There is a lounge area you can use with an open fire. This is a lovely place to stay but you have to travel to Kingston or Blackmans Bay for dinner as the Hotel in Kettering doesn't have good review. If these were fully contained apartments it would be an ideal place to stay. We did enjoy our stay, but would have prefered to have had a microwave in the suite so that you could have something to eat in as it can get expensive to eat out

Thank you for taking the time to review the Cove Kettering and we are very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Whilst are suites are not self contained, our lounge area does offer limited kitchen facilities that include a microwave oven. If you do stay gain we do recommend that you try the Oyster Cove Inn for dinner (open 6 days a week). It is only a short walk away from the Cove offering a great selection of honest pub food as well as a fantastic outlook.

We were greeted with a platter of delicious local cheese and Tasmanian wine.
Our room has stunning views over the Kettering Marina and a balcony to enjoy the views first hand.
The underfloor heating was just the trick for a Tasmanian winters day.
Decor was neutral and elegant, altogether cosy and comfortable.

Our first visit to this property, which has a very good location, overlooking the mariner in Kettering and has only a very short drive to the ferry, taking you over to Bruny Island, was a delight!
The poperty just came on line during our first visit, the owners were also the builders and nothing seemed to be a problem for them, in order to make their guests stay a very positive experience. What did help all of this, was the fact that the couple, originating from Queensland, had a lot of previous hospitality experience.
Today, the new management don't seem to have this background, hence the experience is a very flat one, to say the least. Mind you, the location is still the same, but breakfast is very limited, eggs can be served any way, as long as it isn't scrambled and the housekeeping also seems to struggle with having an eye for detail.
Our reservation didn't exist, according to the manager, surprising since the establishement only has a few units to manage, one wonders how this could be mismanaged?
Anyway, on a positive note, one can but only hope that all of this shortcomings will be overcome over time and the owners will learn about the hospitality industry, it is not in everyones capability to look after guests, and the sooner people will learn that, the more enjoyable a journey to Tasmania will become.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Kettering which is the perfect place to explore Bruny Island and surrounds. The Cove has magnificent water views from the expansive windows and veranda. The highlight was the under-floor heating in the generous bathroom plus heated towel rails as it was a little on the cool side.. Very luxurious. Breakfast is included which is helpful as this is a very small town with not many choices. Parking is at your front door.
We were very pleased to be able to take advantage of the laundry facilities.

The rooms were large and with views of Oyster Cove, spotlessly clean and well furnished. The breakfast was excellent in a similar large room over-looking the water. Service was friendly and positive. If you are travelling this part of the coast you will not find a better property. Recommended but it was not cheap but worth it

We stopped here for 4 nights and we're not disappointed in any part of it. It's an excellent location for seeing the southern part of the island and getting across to Bruny Island which is a must.
Every part of this apartment is 5*. Views from it are also, fantastic.

An absolute gem located in Kettering opposite the gateway of Bruny Island ferry.
Jess the caretaker manager is amazing and makes sure the property maintains its 5 star rating.

The standard of furnishings.. the magnificent comfy king bed .. the cleanliness and absolute yummy breakfast is enough of a reason to confidently book a stay here.

We loved our 4 day stay…. So close to many incredible sights.. and a short drive to Hobart.

Thank you Jess for making it a great experience and remembering our choices .. tea for me and hot decaf for David!
