Walton House is situated near the Huon River with a beautiful outlook, in the heart of the Huon. Have it both ways with the serenity of the countryside, yet accessible to the beaches, mountains, local amenities and attractions. The main residence of Walton House is over 100 years old. Our guests enjoy the use of the the guest accomodation, adjacent to the private residence. You can come and go as you please, you will have access to the guest accomodation independently for the entire stay, with easy check in and check out, ample parking, free wifi, and beautiful amenities. Rooms are beautifully appointed and you will experience a relaxed stay directed only by your own itinerary. A short walk into Huonville and easy access to local sights and attractions will ensure you have a memorable stay. We have 2 Guest Suites available with fabulous common areas including the guest lounge and courtyard. If you'd like the option of booking the entire guest accomodation simply book both the suites at the same time.

Walton House was our base for three nights while we explored the magnificent Huon Valley region. The accommodation is superb. A labour of love that shines through every aspect … from the warm welcome, beautifully appointed modern guest room and facilities to the cozy fire lit each evening. We appreciated the amazingly comfortable bed, pillows and linen bedding; the very well equipped kitchenette and continental breakfast hamper and the large, light airy bathroom equipped with quality toiletry products. Walton House is a pleasant stroll across the bridge to the towns centre, and one of the best restaurants in the area - The Lost Captain. I would absolutely recommend Walton House, Huonville. Cosy, comfortable and a peaceful environment to retire to after a day exploring.

We originally booked this venue via Luxury Escapes. Before our travel date it changed ownership. We needed to change our dates and the new owners worked tirelessly to retrieve and change our 'archived' LE booking which included being on the phone to LE for hours. When we arrived, Walton House was everything we could want and more. The whole venue had been recently renovated, with modern finishes but still quaint. There are 2 quality self contained ensuite rooms with air conditioning, and a kitchenette. There is also a charming common lounge and dining area with a wood fired heater for winter, an outdoor courtyard with a calming bubbling water feature, BBQ, outdoor table and chairs with umbrella. We never saw the hosts, even though they live onsite but they kept in touch with us to make sure we were happy and ask if there was anything we needed. This is a venue geared for couples, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Lovely decorated with luxury in mind. Clean modern bathroom and kitchenette. A warm and welcoming atmosphere. Easy walk to the village to visit the butchers and buy something to cook on the bbq or sit by the fire and play a game in the shared lounge area.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Walton House. Our room was fresh and very clean. The bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable and we slept very well as a result. The bathroom and kitchenette were very well-appointed with everything we needed. The fire in the common area was a lovely touch when we returned after dinner on a cool and damp evening :)

Recently enjoyed a stay at Walton House. Accommodation was spacious, comfortable and tastefully designed and decorated. Access to facility and parking excellent. Sarah is a great host who went out of her way to assist with initial booking whilst providing local knowledge.

The room we stayed in had been beautifully renovated. It was light, bright and airy, with great storage and hanging space. It was both comfortable and warm (we had a cold snap). The lounge was an inviting space but we didn't have time to enjoy it! The key pad entry system made it easy to come and go, and was perfect for a late arrival. Walton House is in an excellent location for walking to amenities in Huonville. We would recommend it to other travellers.

Stayed at Walton House for 1 night while I was walking from Mountain River to Cygnet. I wish I could have stayed longer, the place was so cozy, welcoming, very clean and had everything needed and more! It is located within walking distance to main street in Huonville where you can find cafés, restaurants and super market. Place is exactly like photos published in the website. I highly recommend it.

Warm and beautiful decor. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets the best I have slept in. A soak in the deep bath relaxed a very tall man after a long drive. Warm fire and comfortable lounge was the icing on the cake. Lovely spot, close to great coffee.
