Stayed in this wonderful Caravan Park early March 2021, could not get over the lush green grass - like walking on a really thick green carpet. Coming from Perth WA such thick green grass is something that we don't ever see. Management were really good and the amenities first class! Part of the Huon River is a border and is frequented by water fowl as well as Platypus. Unfortunately, I only got to see the splash of the platypus, not the animal itself. A very important feature for Motorhomes / Caravans is the provision of a Dump Point which is located near the Reception. The amenities block is fairly new and is excellent! Large number of washing and drying machines which are fairly expensive but there are also clothes lines. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, our son was not able to come into the park so we had to meet him at the visitors car park. We will most likely stay there again next year.

Stayed here for one night and it was GREAT. Very friendly greeting on arrival and helpful for local directions. Very nice riverfront site. Facilities probably the best we have encountered. Very clean and spacious. Big shower ($1.00 coin required for 4 mins), good laundry (which we did not use). Nice area for communal cooking. Free view of feeding Tassie Devils at 4:00 each day. Sign for platypus viewing but we did not see any here ( go to Geeveston to see them!). Dump station on site.

Stayed the Australia Day long weekend, it was packed but that added to the great atmosphere of the place. Each site is really big, so plenty of space between everyone. Amenities block is lovely, and the park is well maintained. The 4pm ‘Show’ is absolutely hilarious for the small & adult kids in us all, our kids had an absolute ball at it. The Food Van & Coffee Van that was there was fantastic, let alone the Mr Whippy Van that drove through the park on Saturday night-AWESOME!! Great little ‘beach’ area on the river bank, the kids spent hours playing at it. All staff were lovely & esp all the helpers of staff with the show, good on them! Highly recommend & we’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I recently spent a couple of nights and intend to return. Staff are welcoming, friendly and as owner operators do the extra and ensured our stay exceeded expectations. The family friendly focus extends far beyond the norm; delivering some wonderful experiences (Bubble Time, Runner Duck Herding Dog Display, Feeding Devils and much more; catering for the young and young at heart. We loved our short stay and Huon Valley Caravan Park will become a regular destination for us. We encourage all to visit, as we are confident, you will not be disappointed. Well done to Rowan & Leanne.
