Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This was a great caravan park . We stayed here for four nights in a family cabin. We were happy with the area, space inside cabin. Very clean and staff were very friendly. The only issue was the terribly uncomfortable couches and the Wi-Fi was non existent.

It’s a great spot. Lovely lodge/cabins with ample space for kids to play. There’s a petrol pump and grocery store right next to it. A couple of eateries and a lovely beach across the road. Loved the stay and the rooms thoroughly. Also well located.

Stayed two nights in a cabin on our 40th Wedding Anniversary tour of Tassie en route to Richmond from Launceston so we could spend time at the Freycinet NP. On arrival we were upgraded from a one to a two bedroom cabin (No. 9), although we didn't need the space for just us two! The receptionist was friendly and informative, except no WIFI info provided, but we lived without that for two nights. Whilst the cabin was spotlessly clean and tidy, the family living area was a bit lacking in creature comforts e.g. cushions, table lamp(s). The couches were built-in and were really quite uncomfortable. We moved one of the bedside table lamps to the lounge rather than having the large ceiling ball lights on that were "in ya face". The bathroom was really nice, very clean as was the kitchen, which had just sufficient supplies although the knives were blunt. Both rooms looked like they were fairly recently renovated. The bed was comfortable although it moved if you sat up in bed!! Plus, we only found the electric blanket wire by accident (was tucked under the mattress). The driveway outside needs some attention as quite rutted and the park looked like it's undergoing some upgrades and looked a little tired in places but overall, for our two nights, was perfectly located and the cabin was adequate although as caravan owners, would not have chosen it. Recommend for short stay to visit the NPs.

"The Big 4 Iluka on Freycinet" was a very good experience. We had a Queen Studio that was open plan, roomy and all very modern. Walking to the local shops and hotel was very easy. Driving was necessary to get to the main Freycinet attractions - all accommodation is the same.

Great people on reception and very helpful. Stayed in the 2 bedroom deluxe cabin 180. Cabin looked old from the outside but inside the cabin was good and modern. Main bedroom had a queen bed with tables and bedside lamps, large wardrobe but no door. Second bedroom had bunk beds with a door. In the main kitchen area was a full size fridge, stove, hotplate, microwave,Tea /coffee, milk.cutlery, crokery, kettle and toaster Living area had mediun size lounge, table with 4 chairs(2 in the bedroom cupboard) there was also a lounge bench seat to sit and watch TV. The bathroom was pretty small with a large shower ,shampo and conditioner but no body wash only soap. The toilet area was very small not so good for a larger person. There was a hand basin in there along with a fan, light and heater. Parking outside was right alongside the cabin there is also a lovely undercover outside seating area with table and 4 chairs. On the general information sheet there was no mention of wifi. If it was available it was not mentioned at check in or a password given. Went to dinner at the tavern just at the bottom of the caravan park. Great meals and very popular. I would recommend booking to be sure of a table.

In truth, I would have preferred the option of a 3.5 rating. We stayed in the caravan park section, so I can’t comment on other parts of the complex. Our site was level, well grassed and spacious. The camp kitchen was well appointed and spacious. The toilets/showers allocated to us had faulty drainage, such that a significant amount of shower water failed to get away in the table drain system and flowed instead along the floor under the sinks and past the toilets. There was a similar problem in the ladies facilities. We tried to use the other amenities but our key wouldn’t unlock the door. There was plenty of hot water and good space in the cubicles but somewhat spoiled by the water problem outlined above. Staff were friendly and helpful, although wi-fi info wasn’t included on information distributed. Attached to the complex is a tavern and coffee shop, both with good services and friendly wait staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed 5 nights here recently. Ian and his staff are super friendly and helpful. They went out if their way to assist us with TV antenna issues and loaned us wine glasses during our stay. We were on site 147 which I highly recommend. Shrubbery provided privacy and the site was close to the amenities.

2 adults and 2 children, 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin. Easy and quick checkin. Staff at front desk are super friendly and helpful. Excellent rooms. Very clean, with lots of space. Nice deck to sit out and have a drink/snack. Undercover car port attached to cabin. Excellent location. Walking distance to cafes, pub, grocery store. Only a 10 min drive to Freycinet attractions. Excellent value for money.

Nice caravan park, with the pub and shop next door. The cabin was dated and all the doors squeek - needed some WD-40! We had an ant problem in our cabin, so was constantly getting rid of them. The shower was pretty awful as the water went absolutely everywhere in the bathroom being an open shower with small screen. Overall good spot, nice kids park and close to everything.

We had a lovely two night stay in a two bedroom cabin. Kitchen and bathroom had been recently renovated and we had a lovely outlook over gardens and forest. Our cabin was in a quiet area and we enjoyed watching the birdlife! Double bed was small and bunks and some furniture needs to be updated.
