Located just inside the National Park, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and comfortable and clean. Bistro have plenty of menu choices, challenging to get a table in restaurant due to staffing levels on most evenings only 2 staff working.
Wonderful location with access to beaches for walking.
Basic one bedroom villa has no bath however bed was comfortable and I loved the Apelles amenities in the bathroom.
Food was good and the bistro menu was surprisingly very good.

The architecture is great - you really feel like you are outside in the environment when you are in the comfort of your room! The bed was extremely comfortable and there is a great TV with heaps of movies (we watched "Paddington Bear 2") The...More

You are right, May will be a quiet time at Freycinet and I'm sure you will be able to book a cruise when you arrive. We did not go on a cruise. We spent most of our time bush walking. The return walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout took about 1 hour and was easy. You can also walk to Wineglass Bay and complete a loop circuit which will take about 3 hours to complete. We also climbed Mount Amos but it was difficult with two kids in tow. Enjoy your stay.
