I stayed here for two nights in a cabin while working, and used one of their rental cars. Mick and Marianne where great hosts who knew where to go and who to talk to. Flinders Island is one those beautiful places where time stops, the...More
Temperature of food, wait from time ordered until received food and Caliber of meals = so very mediocre!! Do not recommend!! Too pricey for this kind of experience!! Not crowded so that's not an excuse.

I always suggest after Easter, the reasons being that the island has less visitors so you can enjoy the peace and great natural beauty that the island offers with the chance of not seeing another visitor and the weather is usually pretty good. if you are come to just relax and enjoy the island with no one around then late Autumn and early Winter is good. Sharp Airlines fly from Launceston to both King and Flinders Islands so you could do the Flinders Island visit and then pretty much fly straight to King via Launceston. They fly to Flinders from Essendon so you can work around departing from either Launceston or Essendon if you are visiting Flinders first.
