Rooms were spacious but not elaborate. Clean and more than adequate. They appeared to have recently been done up and looked welcoming. Bathroom was huge with a very good shower and plenty of hot water. We ate each night in the restaurant and were given a choice of two menus either bar or restaurant. Food was really amazing. Food was delivered to the tables very quickly. We ate our way through the menu and nothing disappointed. We asked for a breakfast basket each day and this was more than adequate. Really enjoyed our stay and island experience.

We ate here on long weekend in June so that may be why choices were limited…. no sure!? I had the fish and chips which was nice but not a huge serve. The salad was lovely and fresh that accompanied the fish and the batter on the fish wasn’t too thick.

Only two pubs on Flinders Island and this one is certainly worth a visit, a feed and a drink.
I enjoyed a feed of scallops as we watched the sun set over Lady Barron wharf.
Friendly locals. Cold beer. Tasty tucker.

Stayed here for three nights. Our room was clean and comfortable, very spacious though sparsely furnished. We also made use of our wide balcony when having breakfast or a coffee. One negative was the lack of wifi in the accommodation units. To get wifi you had to walk to the bar/restaurant (and it was provided courtesy of the Tasmanian govt, not the Furneaux Tavern). But perhaps the biggest negative for us was the relative isolation of Lady Baron, the tiny town where the Furneaux Tavern is located. The only place to get a meal in town was at the tavern and most of the attractions on the island are on the other (west) coast. There seemed to be more options in the bigger and more centrally located township of Whitemark.

Restaurant was great, staff were friendly. The room was clean and spacious, but no wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes. The room book said irons weren’t allowed in rooms but one was available. Nothing in the guest laundry so I asked the manager who said, “I don’t think I have ever seen one”. When on business nice to iron your clothes.

Great location, love looking at the islands, the room was clean & nice size room, bed very comfy & the staff so friendly. The meals at the Furneaux Tavern were amazing & reasonable price. We would love to go back there to stay again.

We had a delicious lunch of local scallops and shark. The chips and salad were fresh and tasty. The service was good and we enjoyed the meal. They accept Amex and the prices were reasonable. Great views as well.

This has got to be my number 1 place to go on Flinders Island, I love the staff and the vibe it has as soon as you enter the door! Filled with awesome customer service and the tastiest food at a cheap price. If you are heading down this way this stop is a must.

Stayed here for leisure, was in a great location, just opposite the wharf. The food was exceptionally good, fresh and perfectly cooked, surprised us a lot. The accommodation while not over fancy, was spacious with beautiful views, had everything we needed. The staff bent over backwards to ensure our stay was the best it could be. That says a lot about anywhere.
