Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An unforgettable stay in a luxury cabin on the edge of a working family farm overlooking the Bass Strait. The private and share facilities were magnificent, with plenty of room to move without falling over other guests, and lots of different places to sit and relax, inside and out. We enjoyed the walks around the property and especially the penguin viewing, which was far better than we experienced elsewhere on our trip. A lovely relaxing day and night to end our trip. Highly recommend.

More than accomodation. This special place is the complete package. I waited till we finished out Tasmania holiday to see how The Cove compared - it was the BEST- everywhere else paled a little. From the well appointed, comfortable cliff side room, to the private penguin viewings, the beautiful surrounds, incredible views of Bass Strait, the kind, helpful and genuine staff, the beautiful, well planned common spaces and did I mention the complimentary peppermint (and caramel) slice …delicious-everything was PERFECT. After long days of sightseeing and hiking The Cove was our sanctuary. A special to the gifted lady who provided us with spa treatments-so skilled, THANK YOU. We are already trying to plan a return visit - it really was that good.

You drive over the hill and realise this place is special. From the warm checkin, the amazing accomodation, the awesome view this place is one of the best places we have stayed globally. Nothing is too much hassle and you can do as much or as little as you want to. The chefs kitchen is amazing, there are snacks and delicious wine available to purchase and enjoy The highlight for us was having our own personal penguin parade every night. My biggest worry is that this place becomes so popular we cannot get in next time Thanks to the awesome cove team you have created something special

This was a very last minute booking as we ended up in Devonport late in the day looking for somewhere to stay and found this little beauty. Luck was definitely on our side with this find. The property is high up right on the coastline and the views are absolutely spectacular. The room were very modern and emasculate in every way. We stayed in Cliffside 3 and waking up to 180 degree ocean views is something we will not forget in a while. We also enjoyed the early morning coastline walk and greeting the farm animals. The host was very helpful and accommodating giving us a tour of the property as well as offering eating options and things to do the next day. They also have a shared fully equipped kitchen. We couldn't recommend this property enough and staying here was one of the highlights of our Tasmanian holiday. Darren&Anna

One word = WOW - The moment you walk in it takes your breath away. The Cove was an absolute highlight for our girlfriend's birthday weekend. Perfect day of sunshine, stunning views over Bass Strait, and beautiful accommodation. The Alexander Centre is a dream view kitchen to cook in, and to top it off the Fairy Penguins viewing. A huge thank you to the most beautiful host - Kim. Absolutely coming back, and the only regret is that we didn’t stay longer at The Cove. Jacqueline Hogarth.

The Cove was an absolute highlight on our recent trip to Tasmania. We stayed in Cliffside 3, with stunning views over Bass Strait. The cabin was roomy with a gorgeous bathroom and daybed on the verandah. After a week of eating out all over Tasmania, we felt like a home cooked meal so we headed over to the Alexander Centre, centred in The Cove, where the communal kitchen had everything you needed to make a Michelin- starred meal…or sausages & veg. While we missed seeing the penguins come back to shore in the evening, we certainly heard their chatter, and were lucky enough to spot some in the morning in the burrows during a walk of the property. The only regret we have is that we didn’t stay longer at The Cove, so we could fully take advantage of the wonderful amenities it offers.

Magnificent property. Went for our 1st wedding anniversary and husband got the flu unfortunately so we couldn’t enjoy the full property but there isn’t a prettier place to have had to lie in bed watching the ocean. Everything about the place looks and feels luxurious and the homemade soup on arrival was beautiful. Nothing to fault. Hope to visit again one day when we can enjoy it in health.

Villa Two Five Six was absolutely fabulous. From the spectacular views to the stylish indoor and outdoor furniture, the comfy bed and the extremely well-equipped kitchen, everything has been thought of. The communal areas are also very comfortable and stylish but we didn't use them as the villa is a little way up the hill from the rest of the accommodations and has everything you need right there. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks Coast!

We were impressed by the beauty of The Cove as soon as we drove in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room ( The Cheviot 1) was clean, warm, comfortable and we appreciated the attention to detail of the little things, such as cosy throw rugs and extra towels. The property it’s self is stunning and has beautiful short walks to get the best views of this amazing place. The Alexander Centre has more than you could ever need to cook yourself any meal you fancy. When we stayed there was delicious soup and bread that you could help yourself to. The Cove is truly a special place that we will certainly be returning to.
