Just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful place and wish we could have stayed longer. The Cove takes glamping to a whole new level and Kim and the team really makes sure every guest is well looked after. We had a hillside cabin, soo warm and cosy, and just meters from the waters edge. The cabins have been well thought out to be very comfortable, warm, and very private whilst also providing spectacular views and private outdoor space. The public facilities are all amazing, beautiful camp fire area, swings, outdoor kitchen complete with BBQ's and fireplace, indoor kitchen with everything you need, and relaxing outdoor settings to relax on in the sunshine. The bathrooms were modern, incredibly clean, spacious with everything you need including toiletries spare towels, hair drier, heating and very nice showers in large cubicles. The property itself is stunning, very private, friendly farm animals and local wildlife all around, and the penguin tour is a must, sitting by an outdoor wood fire wrapped in warm blankets with a bottle of wine and a platter watching the little penguins (there are so many!) wander home at night under the most spectacular clear starlit sky, was definitely a highlight. Breakfast hampers were delicious and plentiful, we also had a cheese platter which was delicious. There is a fridge to purchase alcohol, and there is also fridge facilities within the rooms. The location itself is close to Devonport, although you feel like a million miles away from reality, taxi's are readily available and we took the suggestions of dinner at Mrs Jones, definitely not to be missed and a trip out to Ghost Rock winery, which was also fantastic. This is an adults only property, so if you are looking for a perfect remote romantic getaway or somewhere to adventure in the wilderness you will not be disappointed. We are already trying to find some spare time for our next visit. One not to be missed. Thank you Kim and the amazing team at the Cove for a wonderful stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay, although it was very windy throughout the night. Arriving late in the afternoon, we were warmly greeted at reception and were made to feel very welcome. After checking in, we took a short walk across the property and saw the penguin rookery. The Cove does not have a restaurant but the food can be ordered in. We enjoyed our meal and then headed back to the private viewing platform to watch the penguins return to the rookery shortly after sunset. This was an amazing experience. We had a comfortable night's sleep and it was fantastic to wake up to the sun rising in the East and over Bass Strait. Our breakfast was a self-cook option with local ingredients. Very filling and a great start to the day. We would happily return to The Cove. Thanks for your vote.

5 stars isn't enough. From the moment we stepped onto this spectacular location we were treated like the most important people there. The staff and the owner, Kim, were brilliant, nothing was a problem, we were down there to pick a vehicle up and didn't have transport at that stage and after asking for a taxi to be called one day to get into Devonport one of the staff, Jodie, gave us the keys to her car with a 'Be back by 3.30' comment, where else would you get that? The views are stunning and we sat outside on our deck for hours watching the ocean and the local wildlife. We walked around the property one morning and it was just so beautiful we extended our walk down to the little pebble beach and paddled around, I just wish we had have packed swimming gear, the water was crystal clear and not that cold. The amenities are beautiful and nothing is wanting, we had a barbecue one evening and everything looked brand new, everything is spotless and all there, the kitchen has everything you need and more. We stayed in the Hillside rooms for the first two nights and didn't want to leave, we also stayed in the Cheviot rooms for the last night and were greeted by Kim on our return after a few days travelling with our first names, even if Kim had to refer to our bookings to remember our names I don't really care, it's touches like this that make the stay even more enjoyable, we were greeted like old friends and after asking if someone had a birthday after seeing a cake in the office Kim told us that it was a sample cake and that she'd put two (Large) slices in the fridge for us, lovely. We will be returning for a holiday in Tasmania soon and we will be staying at this gorgeous place, my partner and I had a memorable experience there and can't say enough about it.

I heard so many good things about The Cove that I literally flew from Port Douglas just to spend one single night in this magical place. I was on an overnight Yoga Retreat ran by Yoga with Tina, a local Yoga Teacher, and was stunned at the venue, panoramic location and the hospitality of Kim, the owner who was so warm, playful and friendly. I booked the Cliff Chalet 3 and had views of the Ocean that went for miles. Everything was so beautifully done, it has a resort feel but maintained a warm, cosy personal touch. I so needed this trip and The Cove was the perfect escape. I'll be back!

I stayed with my partner for 5 nights in January . The views are spectacular the best I’ve seen in any accommodation it’s beach front and cliff face .The cabins all have theses views . The hillside cabins ( which we stayed in ) are comfortable, stylish and cosy. The bathrooms are a short walk from the cabin , and are kept very clean and warm. The cliff top cabins have their own bathroom as do the A frames cabins. The staff are very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. There is a huge kitchen and lounge area to use both overlooking the sea , with plenty of games and books and the kitchen has every appliance you could need. The fairy penguins come up in their hundreds on the beach each night which was a lovely experience We will be back next year , the only place I’ve rebooked straight away Thanks in particular to the owner Kim for making the stay so enjoyable.

I was told that we were going to see the most amazing views in Tasmania, that’s all I knew! Wow, amazing views was an understatement. Kim and her team at The Cove have not missed a thing. Attention to detail is their strength in every corner, from rolling hills, impeccable facilities to penguins, the ocean, games and fun. The serenity this place offers needs to be seen to be believed! I am still pinching myself two days later!

Stunning place and excellent facilities and service for my wife’s birthday with a bunch of friends. We had a Thai caterer and stayed overnight. Kim went beyond all expectations to make everything perfect. Everyone loved it and we didn’t want to leave!

I wanted to stay somewhere quite and relaxing. We couldn’t have found a more perfect spot. The Cove is exceptional in its design and has all the little touches you can ask for. It’s the perfect place to turn off your devices, rest, read, relax, play board games and just recharge you mind, body and soul. It’s also close enough to town that you can go and enjoy restaurants, shopping and the sights of Tasmania near by. I 🧡 the Cove

Disgusted is one word that I cannot overemphasize. I don't like to slander businesses, particularly local ones and I am generally a positive easy going person but my words and feeling of frustration from this place behaving unethically and unprofessional, is completely justified. This will be a lengthy post, so if you're reading this and don't have 10 minutes to sit down and hold your jaw shut then I suggest you come back and read later. 🙊 With out going into a significant amount of detail; In July my beautiful bridesmaids, mother and mother in law went and had a look at the Cove butter shed to hire for my hens night. They booked it and confirmed that we could use the whole area, including the side room. The owner stated that there is a bed in the butter shed because they are using it as an additonal room, as one of the tents blew over but reassured that it will be absolutely fine to use by October. The agreement was that we were to hire out their venue from 3:30pm- 9:30pm, we would be given the keys to clean up and lock up after that. This morning, 2 days before my hens night, the owner emailed and followed by a rude phone call which started with her asking my mum 'what's your problem?' and stated that under no circumstances we are to use the side room (which we indefinitely need for a particular activity) and we need to be out and cleaned up by 9:30pm as there will be a guest using the shed as an 11th room because 'the tent came down' and they have to use the butter shed for guests only. She stated that because we 'aren't guests' (even though i had 2 nights accommodation already booked and paid for on the night before and the night of my wedding) we aren't priority and then later stated she has a $10,000 booking so they 'must be proactive in looking after guests who stay onsite', in other words, our smaller purchase of hiring out their shed is not valued as much as a function worth $10,000 that was booked AFTER we had booked. I then took it upon myself to go and speak to the owner, where she refused to give a cash refund knowing that I would need the refund immediately to hire out another venue (if I am lucky to find somewhere in 48hrs) and stated that the refunds go through a third party and will take 5 business days. I stood my ground and she agreed to an immediate bank transfer, the only nice thing she did... She then said 'you need to see it from my perspective that the place is booked out and we have a $10,000 booking so you should understand, you are not a guest', not only all that, she was rude, sarcastic and made up lies about what she did and didn't say. But it's OK, I have all the proof of everything that was said. So just a warning, if you aren't rich or have a multiple thousand dollar booking, my advice to all is to not book at the Cove Devonport unless you are prepared to be treated like a peasant. Have a nice day everyone and don't let people treat you less than you deserve. 😃✌❤

What can I say, other than, stay here. Opened since March 2021 this is luxury like you wont find in many places. Hugging a rugged cliff just out of Devonport there are 3 luxury en suite chalets (get the one with the bath), 2 glamping tents, and 5 basic chalets with shared facilities. There is a central building, called the Alexander Centre that has a massive kitchen and a huge, comfy lounge. Perfect for having a glass of wine and watching the waves crash against the shore. When the weather allows there is a large firepit and marshmallows available from reception. Kim will look after your every need, even providing for a breakfast hamper / cheese platter made to order. Do what we did and even order the cold bubbles that was in the fridge on arrival. When can we come back?
