Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cramped and crammed. I don’t recall ever being so close to so many in 30 years of camping

Happy host, fires allowed in drums and close to lovely beaches but so much easier to find so much better within an hour’s drive.

I suspect it’s popular because it’s so close to Devonport’s Spirit of Tasmania terminal with it’s totally dysfunctional traffic but on balance, for one night, I would stay elsewhere.

Almost all sites were flat and many were terraced but the park also has some fairly steep roads and far from straightforward reverses into sites. It may not be the ideal choice for anyone not 100% confident with their reversing, particularly in larger units.

Located just below the Bluff, this caravan park is spectacularly sited with coastal and sea views to the east: it provides large grassy sites with water views adjacent to the towns popular foreshore cafe area. Provides a good amenities block and camp kitchen.

It is not fenced off from the public with its sites accessed of a public roadway to the bluff: can be a bit of noise from locals at times.

Had a week here: provided an excellent and comfortable base to visit nearby areas and attractions.

We stayed here on our final night in Tassie before heading home on the Spirit. Received a warm welcome and seamless check in. Our site was easy to get in and out off which was a benefit to us needing to leave early. The amenities are clean and modern with extra COVID safe measures in place. The walk around the Bluff and lighthouse are from the park and we ate right next door at Drift - was great to have everything close by. Bonus wildlife spotting at night too!

Excellent family run caravan park set in the most amazing location. The park is very well maintained & the amenities are spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly & accommodating from booking, check in/out & suggestions of things to see & do. Sheltered by the wind at the base of Mersey Bluff & Lighthouse. Resident wallabies wander the park from dusk & will be a treat for overseas visitors & locals alike.
Located overlooking the beach, cafe/coffee shop with fabulous food together with the award winning Mrs Jones restaurant all within a 5 minute walk.
Kids are taken care of with a lovely park (including skate park) and flat easy bike paths for kms of walking/riding.
Highly recommend!

This caravan park is in a fantastic location overlooking the beach and close to many local attractions and Luke and Carolyn, (the owners) go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one.
There are great caravan and camping sites, as well as excellent self contained cabins. The facilities are all maintained to a high standard and are impeccably clean.

We stayed for 4 nights. The owners were so very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The ablution block was spotless and the bays were spacious. I highly recommend this caravan park even during the winter months.
Thank you Luke and Caroline for a lovely stay 😁

Awful reception on our arrival from Luke. I had sent email before arrival questioning his 'confirmed' booking for powered site when we didn't need power, but got no reply. On phone once we were in Tas Luke did not explain the powered site a better location and more cost effective, when i questioned him as phone reception poor. When we arrived he smugly volunteered he had sold the powered site and put us on a rocky slope. A very crowded park, good location but people jammed in like sardines. Glad we weren't under one of the bright lights, camp kitchen very small

Great place to stay, had one night here. We rocked up in the afternoon without booking for an unpowered site and had great hospitality, very easy process and very accommodating. Great clean amenities and easy to use. Awesome view over the beach. Great stay!

Apart from position, this park has so much to offer. Excellent, clean amenities, good walking trails, esp on the beach. Fishing hot spots, fire pits allowed off ground. Luke the manager was soo friendly and helpful, a true asset to the park. About 40 Pademelons nightly from the nearby bush area. Walking to the lighthouse and blowhole was easy and views amazing. Good spot to relax
