Our place is close, just 6 minutes by car, to Devonport City Centre and the Spirit of Tasmania wharf. The local airport is another 7 minutes away. We are located on 2.5 acres of land in a semi rural setting. Parking is on-site. Stony Rise House is a large gracious family home set on 2.5 acres that combines original 1880's features with modern amenities. The main house provides accommodation in five bedrooms and our three bedroom semi-detached self contained cottage provides a further three bedrooms. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

Our stay in the Magnolia Room was perfect for senior weary travellers. Exceptionally clean and bright. Bed was very comfortable, and the underfloor heating in ensuite a delightful surprise.Hosts Cliff and Fifi were lovely and very helpful. A Continental Breakfast was included and adequate for our needs. Highly recommend you put this B&B on your itinerary.

A very clean and tidy establishment with a beautiful garden. Welcoming hosts and lovely decor. The only downside to the place is that there is only one toilet which is in the bathroom. Inaccessible if the shower is in use. There are 4 guest rooms, one is a triple, and quite snug even with two occupants. It's really handy for the Spirit and not far to restaurants.

A charming homely place with a beautiful garden. We stayed in the Oak room, which was beautifully decorated with a fire place and good sound proofing. The shared bathroom was well equipped with good heating and a good shower. Friendly hosts.

We had such a wonderful stay at Stony Rise. The entire place just had such a lovely warm, cosy atmosphere, and Cliff was a truly welcoming host. I cannot recommend it more if you’re looking for a beautiful getaway.

Our stay was like a home away from home. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very warm and welcoming, though unobtrusive. We travelled to Tasmania by the Spirit of Tasmania, so we stayed at Stony Rise at the beginning and the end of our trip.

Warm welcome by owner. Very nice atmosphere with big garden. Bathroom and toilet shared. Was worried about that but worked out ok. Close to main road. With windows closed you do not notice the traffic. Breakfast available with choose of nice bread, juice and jam. Perfect place to explore surroundings

Hosts were very accommodating for a late night booking, couldn't have been more pleasant. Cottage was amazing and room with old style charm beautifully presented. Breakfast supplied was serve yourself at whatever time you please.
