Wow, a wonderful surprise - a step back in time! We had the very elegant Magnolia room complete with heated floor in bathroom (huge fan! 🤣) Bed was incredibly comfortable for us. Gorgeous quaint bnb accommodation,
Cliff was lovely to speak with from the phone to arrival and throughout our stay, great local knowledge and tips for sightseeing.
Continental brekkie in ‘the hub’ excellent, loved the decor, the set up, the gardens, ambience - just loved and enjoyed both our nights there. Restaurants only 5/6 mins away great location
Don’t hesitate just book it! 🌺😊

Clifford and Fifi made were very accommodating during my brief stay with homemade breakfast the highlight. The experience was reminiscent of a bygone era where service was placed in higher regard and it shows. A modern walk in shower in the Magnolia room was also a welcome surprise among the heritage architecture and decore. I highly recommend staying the month before Christmas to admire the effort Fifi went to decorate the living/dining area and rooms with Christmas ornaments.

Stony Rise is a really well set out facility, with comfortable beds and clean rooms. Breakfast is not over done, but is personalised and filling. It is nicely situated for the key parts and features of the north coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

If you are travelling around the North West of Tasmania then stay at Stony Rise Cottage at Devonport . Lovely old world house with several bedrooms all appointments in an old world style with a large comfortable bed and tea and coffee and fridge provided. Lovely views of the beautiful gardens out the windows and a nice peaceful atmosphere all add to the ambience of the home. Fifi and a miss have gone all out to provide the little extras like arrival chocolate!
The breakfast next morning was a family affair with Fifi and Chris providing a full breakfast of preserved fruits and/or full cocked breakfast as well as fruit conserve tasting if you have room left!
A lovely experience which we would recommend ro anyone who wishes a relaxing overnight, weekend or greater stay.
Will return!
Thanks again Fifi and Chris

We were treated to a special treat at this beautiful home style Bed and Breakfast Cottage. The room was so comfortable as was the bathroom and beautiful bath, which I had a lovely relaxing soak in:)
The breakfast was made to order, delicious full breakfast, cooked with all the chatting and laughing thrown in for good measure. Home made jams were a special treat and tea and coffee on tap.
Thank you for a beautiful stay and we highly recommend!

After a long day on the Spirit II, Fi and Cliff looked after our dog, recommended Mrs Jones at the surf club for dinner and cooked an amazing home style breakfast with home/bottled plums and apricots, bacon and perfectly poached eggs from their gorgeous grounds. Fi
then spent time recommending places and food spots down the east coast and she was spot on. Immaculate accommodation & attention to detail. A home away from home and coming from the chaos that is now MELBOURNE- this was utopia.

With intrastate travel restrictions lifted, we were keen to visit the North West and spent our first night in this comfortable and cosy BnB. It's conveniently located and set in a large garden. Because of Covid 19 regulations, we had the (usually shared) bathroom and lounge room to ourselves. A comfortable bed, with an electric blanket, and a warm room ensured a good night's sleep. Our friendly hosts, Clifford and Fifi, made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast, which included home grown preserves, in their spacious kitchen/family room. Thanks to you both for your hospitality!

Would definitely recommend. I was a bit nervous as a solo traveller but Cliff and Fifi put me right at ease. The cottage was beautiful, and the room was warm and cozy (and I loved the decor, I felt right at home!). The owners were very welcoming and friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed our lively conversation over breakfast (terrific bacon, eggs, mushrooms, toast, yoghurt and fruit, and my favourite - homemade jams, sauces, and preserves!). I highly recommend this cottage for a visit - a great place to relax.
