"A Nice Place To Stay". The Barclay Motor Inn has a choice of clean and comfortable accommodation options to suit most travellers. There are motel style units, studio apartments, two-bedroom apartments, an executive two-bedroom apartment, and a three bedroom cottage that is perfect for either larger families or two couples travelling together. There is an indoor heated pool and half court tennis and basketball to entertain the children and the "young-at-heart." FOXTEL is also provided, and FREE WI-FI. The Barclay Motor Inn is ideally located in a quiet residential area and in walking distance to the CBD of Devonport and several eateries. 7 minutes drive to the Spirit of Tasmania terminal and 12 minutes from Devonport Airport.

Great staff, location that suited our needs, room light and airy and everything worked, plus it had a pool. What more could you want? Beds comfy, not much noise on site. Owners can provide a take away breakfast if you so desire. We had our own stuff and catered for ourselves. Within walking distance of town centre and restaurants.

As some others have stated, the Barclay is a gem. Clean and comfortable, it's located in the Mersey Bluff precinct, the best part of Devonport. Lovely managers, and the pool was just the ticket after a long day's driving. Highly recommended: I look forward to a return visit before long.

Spotlessly clean. Level concrete parking for motorcycle. Short walk to pub for great meal. We arrived at 10pm after Spirit of Tas voyage and reception staff (owner ??) met us personally. We stayed here again before the early morning Spirit of Tas return voyage. We would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Barclay, the owners were very helpful and friendly, the accommodation was updated and clean. Extra bonus was the guest laundry. Location a quiet part of Devonport but easily able to access shops by car. Would stay again:)

We stayed at the Barclay Motor Inn recently. Best night's sleep as it is a quiet area and the beds are really good. The pool is great. Everything was very clean and maintained well. We highly recommend it.

I have been staying at the Barclay Motor Inn every time I visit Devonport on business. I have always noticed the swimming pool, but have never gone for a swim. On my visit last week, I did go for a swim - 30 degrees and wonderful. The unit I stayed in was very comfortable, air conditioned, good kitchen (with a large fridge) and good sized bathroom. I enjoyed a great breakfast, delivered to my room on time and hot. I will return.

Very clean and comfortable family room with two bedrooms and a kitchenette. The beds were lovely with quality linen and the main bedroom had a second TV. The kitchenette was well-equipped with kettle, toaster, large fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery, etc. The reception was friendly and efficient and parking and access to the unit was completely convenient.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked like it was recently renovated and the shower was excellent. The sheets on the bed were very good quality and felt very nice. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
