We stayed 2 nights at the Highlanders Cottages in Woodsmoke. This was an appropriate name, as it had a wood burning fireplace in it. It was nicely isolated from the other cottages, as all the cotteges are. But it's only a very short walk to the visitor center and the shuttle buses. Sharon and Ian were very helpful with our...

We stayed two nights in the Brushtail cottage and it was amazing. It was very comfortable, with a very efficient gas heater to keep the cold at bay. Extraordinarily quiet surrounds, you wouldn't know there were any other guests or cottages nearby. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need for self catering. The hosts are very friendly...

I can not praise these cabins enough. We stayed two nights (wish it had been more) in Woodsmoke. It was just the best and very clean. You wouldn't know there were any other cabins around, it is so secluded and peaceful. I loved the high bed, it was so comfortable. Also sitting at the window looking out at the bush...

This is the second time we have stayed at the highlanders and it never fails to impress. The cabins are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The wood fires make the cabins cosy and the locations of the cabins make you feel like you are the only one around (apart from the padymelons, wallabies and possums. An early evening drive...

Highlanders is an absolutely ideal base for your trip to Cradle Mountain. It is a 2 minute drive to the park entrance and visitor's centre. We stayed in Brushtail, an idyllic cosy cabin with a spacious bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. There are 2 quality grills available to use in the BBQ communal area. Customer service is excellent. The...

Highlanders is the perfect base for your trip to Cradle mountain. It was close to the entrance to the park and our cabin (The Myrtle) had a glorious view of the mountain from the back verandah. The cabins are beautifully decorated and well equipped with full kitchen and huge bathroom with a spa bath. We had Pademelon wallabies visiting the...

We stayed in Tallow-wood a 2 bed-roomed cabin with a spa bath and a wood burning stove. The style of the furnishing is a bit dated but that just added to the charm. A well equipped spacious kitchen. The bed was high but very comfortable. The wood burning stove, with plenty of wood supplied was great for making the cabin...

We spent a wonderful four nights here at Highlanders. The surroundings were terrific with the various cottages dotted around in the forest , each feeling secluded. They were very well equipped, great place to relax after an active day walking the trails in Cradle Mountain Park.We were provided with lots of dried firewood which was needed as it gets quite...

We loved it. Book early or you will be moving cottages like us. We stayed in one of the older cottages and found it really homely and quaint. Then moved to a newer cottage, with a bit less soul, (but are a lot more like a hotel room if you prefer new and shiny). These are 'mountain view chalet's, but...

we have just completed our second stay here and will certainly be back again. The cabins are well equipped, all amenities you need are included with great, rustic interiors, the whole cabins are very rustic and set within trees, bush and nature. (More often than not you will see a Pademelon or other wildlife around your cabin). After some strenuous...
