I took my family (6 kids and wife) on a tour of Tassie last year. Cradle Mountain was a must see experience. I contacted the cottages by email and booked a cabin based on good reviews. I was definitely not disappointed. Cottages are spacious and are perfect compliment to being in the wilderness but with comfort. The restaurant was the...

Good place for a Family of four. Excellent self contained cabins. Friendly staff, very helpful. Good Location, a 300 meter walk to the bus terminal to go up cradle mountain. You must bring your Food along though. No Shopping opportunities in the vicinity! Their Internet is a bit of a pain though, they could improve on that.. And beware: if...

This place has charm the minute you drive up the tree lined driveway. There are a series of cottages from 1 to 2 bedroom. Our cabin was secluded and well away from other guests. There was a cosy log fire and the decor was fit for the area - think log beds wood walls, floors and roof! We ordered a...

The stay was full of excitement and joy! We stayed in Ringtail in early April, the room is exceptionally clean, comfy and welcoming! The kitchenette is fully equipped with all we need. Friendly staff, great location! Love it!

Loved this place. Not overly modern but who wants that when staying in an authentic log cabin. Everything we needed was on-hand. Managers fixed the heat light failure promptly and were very friendly and professional. Beds comfy, plenty of fire wood, friendly animals, although a possum had learnt to tap at the front door. How's that for adaption? We would...

My wife and I had 3 nights in "Woodsmoke", a basic yet clean and comfy cottage with a great wood fire and plenty of fuel. And we needed it - sleet and high winds!! The best of the furnishings was the king size bed - comfy, warm and inviting. The kitchen and lounge/dining are modestly furnished, yet provide all one...

Situated conveniently close to the Cradle Mountain Information Centre (from where the shuttle buses leave for Dove Lake and stop-offs) our 'Snow Gum' cottage was perfect. And a nice touch? On arrival the wood heater was going and the place cosy. We were fortunate with clear fine days and yes, we could see Cradle Mountain from our bedroom. A Pademelon...

This was our second stay at Cradle Mountain Highlanders, we enjoyed it so much the first time, we really wanted to return. We stayed in "Brushtail" which was lovely, and well set up for people with a disability. The cabin was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The gas fire heated the place beautifully - much needed to dry off! The...

We stayed in the Wombat, one bedroom cabin. Rustic but very comfortable had everything we needed, including cooking facilities we used for dinner. Also very close to the bus stop for park access. The owner was very helpful, lots of good advice and insight. Only 2 things I'd say to be aware of is the free Wi-Fi doesn't last long...

We stayed in the Currawong for 1 night which is a 2 Bedroom cottage. The place is easy to find as it is literally opposite the visitor centre. They have good SMS communication to let you know when your room is ready on the day. And in our case, it was ready a little earlier and we certainly appreciated the...
