Very disappointed with our stay at Peppers. We arrived at 1:30pm there were two staff at the front desk, neither looked up and mentioned they were occupied or busy, it wasn't until a third person came out from the back that we were served. We were told to return in 30min as check in was strictly at 2pm. We had...

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay, I am sorry you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay. Please accept my apologies with regard to your arrival and the Front Office staff, this has been addressed with them. The feedback we normally receive is of a very high standard regarding wine and cheese...

Stayed in a cabin with my wife. I understand staying so close to dove lake is going to be expensive but $250 for a shack was well overpriced. No tv, Internet, bath, log fire, or comfy bed. I get the tranquility/no technology thing..... But for that price the cabins should be secluded (not 4 cabins seperated by fibro), open fire...

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay, I am sorry you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay. Thanks for your positive comments regarding the staff. Please note are pricing is dynamic and as you have stayed during school holidays you may prefer the pricing that we offer mid week during Winter. Lamb...

Maybe it was my fault , for the money I expected a TV in the room, doors that closed properly and a cabin that was closer to 2015 than 1985. If you are a couple that likes rustic and romantic, this maybe the place. Not for a family that may like to watch a bit of TV after a long...

It's all about the Location! No doubt the lodge is suitated at the perfect location on cradle mountain with only 15min drive up to the dove lake! There are a few easy treks just right next to the lodge reception if you like trek walking. We saw some cure wallabies walking together with us while we were walking, cute :)...

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and enjoyed the location and walks. Bordering the National Park certainly is the best position to be in. Apologies regarding dinner, but as you have mentioned perhaps not to your taste as the feedback we receive from there...

We took advantage, along with another couple, of the Local Tasmanian's Deal and stayed for two nights to take in the best that the National Park has to offer. The Lodge is the closest hotel located to Dove Lake and it's several individual cabins spread out over a rather large area were well patronised. We had numbers 73 & 74...

Spent weekend here and was lovely, didn't think food was that special but room was lovely and plenty of wildlife to be seen also along the woods. If going here just keep in mind you'll not have much use for technology as no signal with internet or mobiles but that to me makes it even better.

I highly recommend the spa - the massuese was excellent!! I was treated so nicely too! Cabin was comfortable, but disappointed with the room refrigerator! Hmm. Nothing like I was expecting. I agree with other reviews. Really needs a refurb. Luckily I am with telstra and was able to use my phone and internet. Too bad if you were with Optus like our travelling partners. No reception at all for them unless it is in the main lodge lounge area. Not even in the restaurant....

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is a unique wilderness experience, set right on the edge of the spectacular World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, just 2 hours drive from Launceston and 1.25 Hours from Devonport. At Cradle Mountain, you'll soon discover that fine food and wine are an unavoidable part of this rustic holiday. This superb escape showcases the best Tasmania has to offer with warm hospitality, sensational locally produced food and wine, breathtaking scenery and magnificent wilderness surrounds. The Lodge itself is warm and inviting with open fires, comfy chairs and cosy spots, perfect for enjoying the postcard views or just relaxing. Around Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge there are more than 20 walking trails that suit every fitness level. Imagine wandering through towering forests with trees older than mankind. Discover animal and plant varieties found nowhere else on earth. You can trek mountains, explore trails on horseback or mountain bike, and learn to fly-fish - just some of the many activities on offer. And when it's time to relax, guests can indulge in a therapeutic massage or sauna at the Waldheim Alpine Spa - the perfect place to soak away tension and time. Set discreetly within its pristine wilderness setting, Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge has 86 private timber cabins, offering 4 grades of accommodation. Each provides every comfort you could need, some with spa baths. Road Closures: There are a number of road closures around Tasmania at the moment that are affecting accessibility to Cradle Mountain. The Kimberley bridge in between Elizabeth town and Railton on the B13 is closed until further notice as the bridge has collapsed. The C138 from Mole Creek to Gowrie Park is inaccessible as the road has been closed due to the recent flooding. The C137 however from Mole Creek through Paradise just outside of Sheffield is open and a good way to bypass around the closures.
