We booked a standard cabin for a few days and were pleasantly surprised by the level of facilities provided. The room had adequate heating/cooling and kitchen utensils with a well stocked shop onsite. The shower was perfect after a day's hike in the mountain in both heat and pressure. The location is also a very short drive (with wombats along the way) to the tourist centre. I would certainly book this accommodation again!

Well located to explore cradle mountain. There was a lot of snow around which was fun. The cabin was well equipped. The only problem we had was the heater in the cabin would not work. Both my son and I tried with no luck. No instructions. It was a freezing night and the inside of the cabin was just the same temperature as the outside. My little got out of the shower and starting sobbing he was so cold. Luckily the electric blanket worked but we literally just had to stay in bed when in the cabin. Kids even got dressed in the bed. Luckily only here for one night.

G’day, thanks for staying with us at Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain and taking the time to provide your comments. We’re glad you liked your stay but are sorry to read there were some troubles with your cabin. We have an onsite manager (contacted on the number provided in your check in information) who would have helped with your heating. All the cabins have an extra heating unit in the cupboard for nights just like this. It is a shame you did not contact us during the stay as we could have made you more comfortable than what you experienced. Kind Regards, the Discovery Parks team.

Family of 4 stoped for 2 nights on our lap of Tassie. Great timing that snow was predicted and wow! A true winter wonderland! Magical. We had a powered site for our motorhome. Camp kitchen with 2 open fires and whole store room of firewood was definitely needed and a great gathering point. All facilities catered for. Amenities were clean and HOT water was great on the -4°C morning. Bee was so welcoming at reception and the convenient mini market was great for essentials, read Port and bbq sausages, 😀 you can even hire DVDs for those cold nights. All round best park, for facilities and experiences.

The cabin furniture needs updating - took us an hour to get the TV working. No where does it say that the cabins are built in groups of 3/4 with common driveways. There is no wifi in the cabins. To get wifi you need to sit in your car in front of reception. Apart from an overpriced grocery shop there’s nothing to eat. To have a proper meal you need to travel down the road to one of the other accommodation complex’s. Would not stay here again.

The park was great, cabins were cosy, warm and well equipped. The friendly service was great on arrival. The park is literally across the road from the visitor centre. You can access Cradle Mountain-Dove Lake via the shuttle buses which go every 15-20mins on a loop. You can get on and off for the various walks. Great location and perfect for families on a budget.
